Earlier today, I received the WORST customer service from Fame Cleaners in Westlake Village, at Lindero Canyon and Thousand Oaks Blvd. I am taking to the internet as my only alternative, to being treated so rudely by the manager, Edgar Sanchez. A Tommy Bahama shirt was ruined by them. A hole was rubbed into the chest area of the shirt, and the stain was still there. There are approx. 8 other noticeable stains that remain on the shirt. There was absolutely NO tag, or alert indicating that they are aware that these stains are still on the shirt. I have received tags or alerts from other dry cleaners in the past indicating that they are aware the stains are there, they tried their best, but couldnt get the shirt clean, etc. He told me they wait for a customer to come back, after noticing the stain...and theyll give it another try. I told Edgar that FAME should not wait for a customer to bring back an article of clothing with a problem, that the article should be inspected after cleaning, and the customer notified. I told him I felt that quality control was lacking where this shirt was concerned. Edgar Sanchez smugly asked if I wanted him to go to the back and get a tag and put it on the shirt. He asked if that would make me feel better! What a wise guy. Because the shirt had been in the store for considerably longer than the pick up date, he said that I was lucky, because he could have disposed of the shirt after 30 days. After a 10 minute debate, he asked me what I wanted. I asked for a refund for what I paid to have this shirt cleaned. I did not ask for them to reimburse me for the purchase, just for what I spent on this one shirt to have it cleaned. He then said "did I charge you a storage fee for this shirt? I told him this was a silly position to take, and he repeated "did I charge you a storage fee for the time the shirt was here in the store? With that rediculous remark, I gathered the items I was going to leave there, and left. BTW, Edgar also said that Fame Cleaners, Westlake Village, uses plastic bags that contain acid, so he said the hole in the shirt may have come from the bag. They dont recommend clothing be left there longer than 5 days. How many of us have left clothes at dry cleaners long than that? I will never use Fame Cleaners, Westlake Village again. Edgar Sanchez, shame on you. You did your store harm, with your petty and arrogant attitude.

So I have been going to this drycleaner for 6 years, back when it was Flair drycleaning, and I have never had a problem. I have never checked my tickets for the quantity they printed and recently I had an experience. I brought in 12 items and on my tickets they only checked in 5 items. I picked up my clothes and they gave me 7 items, which is short of what I brought and more than they checked in on the tickets. I returned to pick up the rest of my clothes and they informed that I must come back when the manager is present. I filled out a complaint form and identified the missing items and I have yet to receive a call back. Now that is what I call professionalism.

Rip Off! Not only are they overpriced (I should have checked prices before, >$120 for 20 items!?), but they totally ripped me off. After spending that $120, I came back with a shirt theyd missed a spot on. No apology, and on top of that, since it wasnt on the hanger, they were going to charge me for washing it again. Im a "let it slide" kinda guy. Hey, included in that order was a tie with an ink spot on it. They charged me to clean it, but the stain didnt come out. I didnt complain, figured maybe I should have asked them up front if they could get it out. Rude, overpriced, bad service. I dont care that theyre convenient, never going there again.

Worst drycleaning service Ive ever had. The attendant was rude, they damaged the bag I brought my items with, and the "rush" service lauded by another reviewer was nonexistent, leaving me in a bad situation for an extra day. Their pricing is on the high end already, and I dont see any value added for the cost. To add additional insult to injury, they botched the spelling of my name even after I had spelled it out for them at the original dropoff. Needless to say, Im never coming back to this drycleaner and Ive made sure to warn my associates to avoid it too.

Prices and quality of service are indeed impressive for this discount dry cleaner. Ive been a customer for years and Ive never had a problem with the way my garments have been dry cleaned. They do a really nice job. Most everything is $2 per item. Exceptions include leather, suede, etc. - the usual suspects. Ive also taken in my winter coats and king size comforters. The pricing was great for these items as well. I cant forget to mention they offer next day service at these low prices.

This place has the worst customer service. The people are rude when you ask them just to work on the stain, but when you come back and they say they cant take wipe the stain, but still charge you for cleaning!! This place is the worst in the area. Avoid!
