Ive been using this dry cleaner for the last 4 years and after my last experience, I will NOT ever use them again. Sadly, they changed ownership sometime last year and its painfully obvious as the customer experience has dramatically changed in my opinion. I brought in my boyfriends brand new Calvin Klein suit (slacks, vest, tie and shirt) to be dry cleaned on 12/18/15 for his grandmothers funeral that Sat, 12/20 (I was out of town on 12/19 so it had to be done that day). I was assured it would be ready at 6pm. I got there at 615pm and they gave me my stuff and there was no vest. I asked for the vest and they said it was in tailoring, un ok...?? Long story short, they were hastily replacing all the buttons on his vest because apparently they had completely lost one during the cleaning process. They acted like this was no big deal, but it was a big deal to me because now his vest buttons wouldnt match the jacket because they couldnt match the original buttons at all.... This was an expensive suit, the nicest suit my boyfriend has. We dont have a ton of nice stuff like this so it a WAS a big deal to me. I didnt start to get pissed until I had to deal with one of the "owners", some dude Ive never seen before. He came over to ask what the problem was and had quite an attitude about it. He told me its "normal wear and tear" to lose buttons. No its not, that was a brand new suit that had been worn only once for 3 hours, there was no wear and tear on this item. I protested and said thats completely wrong as it was brand new. The real reason a button was missing was because they were so rough with the clothes, clearly (at this point Im starting to worry about my $400 gown that was lace and being cleaned with the suit too!). He continued to argue with me and act pretty darn righteous about the whole thing, not what you should be doing when youve damaged an expensive item. He argued with me about why it happened, why I shouldnt feel that way, how there is no way anything had changed with the new ownership (except I could tell it was under new ownership and how? because this guy was a d*ck and the old owners were amazing, clearly it was obvious if I thought to ask the question). He actually said "you need this for a funeral but you said you went to a funeral and it was worn for 3 hours so which is it?", add he doesnt listen to the list, I said it had been worn for 3 hours (at a wedding a month prior) and it was needed for a funeral in two days. Did I mention I was completely stressed having just lost a family member? Or that I was 7 months pregnant on top of it all? And to have this dude argue with me about everything and take no responsibility was pretty lame. They kept me waiting for almost an hour! I didnt leave there until a few minutes after 7pm! They did discount the cleaning cost and offer to change all buttons if I brought in the jacket the following week but none of that compares with this guys horrible handling of the situation or the inconvenience of it all, or the fact that my BF had to wear his suit with mis-matching buttons to the damn funeral! Needless to say, I wont even bring it in to have them change out all the buttons. Id rather PAY someone else to do it than trust them with a single item of mine again. Hangers - Shame on you for treating your customers that way, you had me in tears and not because of the button but because of how rude you were with me about the whole situation! I will never be back. Maybe you should consider how you treat your customers, what was great about this place was the people who owned it before you were awesome and the customer experience was fantastic. Without that, youre just another dry cleaner on a block with many. Youre not special anymore. And from the looks of your other recent reviews on Yelp, EVERYONE hates this place since the ownership change. Wake up dude, youre a jerk who ruined the hard built reputation of a good business. And on top of that, if I were you, Id be embarrassed for yelling at and belittling a pregnant women who was grieving.

I have been to many, many drycleaners and Hangers is by far the absolute best! all of my clothes is always cleaned (not just pressed like I have found at other cheaper drycleaners) and comes back smelling clean. yes, the prices are a little steep BUT in return you get excellent quality drycleaning. they have also fixed a pant leg hem for me and fixed the interior lining of a pair of pants. you can not go wrong with Hangers. the best part about hangers is your clothes is ready for pick up the next day. you will not be dissapointed. Oh, do not forget to ask them for their coupon book - they do not advertise it and you will not know about it unless you ask them. =)

Ive been a regular customer at this place for years. Then today (Tuesday) at 2:30 I asked if they could dry clean a suit and have it ready for me the next night. They said NO. They said they were booked through end of day Thursday. ONE SUIT would take more than two days to be ready. REALLY? Then the kid that said he was manager was rude and acting like I was the idiot. Seriously? I took my suit across the street and they will have it ready tomorrow morning. If you want terrible service and a rude manager, Hangers Cleaners is your place. If you want, fast, polite service go across the street to Del Mar Cleaners.

Worst customer relations. Ive been in there 3 times to try to get laundry done. Each time its a different excuse: were closed, we dont do it this day, its too late, even though I called in the MORNING. They advertise they are open 7 days a week and can do wash and fold but despite my best efforts, and following the advertising on their store front, they consistantly advertise a service they FAIL to deliver. Absolute worst example of a business in Marina Del Rey. WORST.

Silk garment came back from the cleaner with damage which wasnt visible when it was dropped off, and problem may have been caused by surface chafing of the silk filament yarns during dry cleaning... Steve (owner) refuses to take responsiblity and failed to resolve the complaint. I expected higher level of service from Hangers Cleaners brand, but...
