I decided to try this salon after hearing wonderful things about it. Beautiful ambiance, the staff I spoke with was very friendly, and the studio is lovely. I decided to work with a Talent – ie still in training – for a color and trim. With my hair, I really should have known better, but the receptionist assured me it would be great. My color came out two-toned, the top few inches noticeably lighter than the bottom, and the general color not quite what I wanted. The spotlights came out bleach blonde instead of the golden brown I was looking for (to their credit, the stylist did throw some tinted conditioner on, which helped a bit). I guess all of that I could have dealt with, especially considering I was working with someone still learning Aveda color systems (and color does fade and can be redone) if the “trim” hadn’t been so awful. I had very long hair with a couple of pieces very subly shorter in front. Very subtly. What I walked away with was hair that looked like it had been hacked at with jagged art scissors. All of the edges were ragged and uneven, by multiple inches in some spots. It was so bad I cleaned it up at home myself with a pair of kitchen scissors, and while it is still bad, it is at least presentable, although I had to take off several inches to get it halfway even. The worst of it is the left side has a huge chunk taken out of it. I don’t know if her scissors slipped or what, but my hair looks like it has a couple of holes in it in the front. The right side is decent, and more of what I originally had, but contrasts sharply with the mess that is the left. Because my hair is so long, it will be years before it grows out to replace the missing chunk. I’d grown it out for seven years to get it to the length I wanted. I just asked for a simple, basic trim, nothing else. I don’t want to bash on the Talent or cost her a job or opportunity, but her little oopsie really cost me. I think she maybe ran out of time as she “trimmed” my hair in all of about 90 seconds. Maybe she was having an off-day. I gave them two stars because – the mentoring stylists really do seem to be involved with their talent, which is a good sign even if my experience was off; my quoted price was the same before and after the appointment, even though my hair took a lot of time and product; the reception staff I chatted with were very friendly; and the salon doesn’t have any of that uppity, snotty feeling some salons are prone to. I’d really like to try them again (this time with a top-line stylist) as I’ve heard such wonderful things about them and seen the wonderful results on friends. At the same time, that little voice in my head keeps repeating that if an upscale salon can’t be trusted to do just a simple trim, it might not be wise to engage further.

first time there....awesome experience! i dont usually accept when someone at a business offers me a beverage, but i was parched so water was greatly appreciated (she rattled off a few different beverages...i was nervous and only recognized water). i was there to get a haircut....drastic change. apparently, everyone gets a scalp and neck massage before the haircut...it was a little awkward bc ive got a personal space bubble, but honestly, i was so glad! chilled me out a bit, so that was great. nikki was my stylist and what an awesome listener, adviser and executor of her craft! i couldnt be happier with this haircut. she even took time to show me how to style my new do! i love aveda products and she talked about each one she was using and what its purpose was. now, im not a multi product kinda gal...so i asked her to recommend which one product was a must-have. i cant believe i left spending less than $60 (that includes product!). A++

I went to Inspire based on Yelp reviews. I love this place! The welcome when you walk in the door, the offer of a beverage, the smells... it just feels good to be there. The scalp and neck massage is heavenly and the shampoo and conditioners smell wonderful. Bethany has been cutting my hair for a year now and in 50 yrs, I dont know that Ive ever had someone listen to me like she does. She has a wonderful personality and knows her craft very well. She makes suggestions to me that I follow without hesitation knowing I will be so happy with the outcome. It may cost a little more than other salons but to me, it is money very well spent. I leave relaxed, smelling great and with a hair cut that others compliment me on all the time.

Every time I go in to this salon the pricing is different. I have 2 others sitting right here who are discussing the same thing. Go in one time its 45.00, next time its 140.00. Very confusing. They tell you pricing varies by the level of experience of the stylist.. but it appears they gamble on your not asking when you sit in the chair what the cost will be. I was told its $10.00 per foil at my SECOND appointment. Also that nice hand massage and paraffin dip is an ADD ON service that I thought was included in the cost of the hair service. Very deceptive practice. Think ill shop around for another salon that is more transparent in their practices.

I have been on the look out for a good, local salon. I have been to most in the area, and end up not returning for lack of quality. So I was pleasantly surprised by the really good cut I got from Traci. Also, being pregnant, I dont want to color my hair, so she pointed me to a conditioner that helped even out my fading color. Its nice to find a good salon in Longmont.

I have never had a bad experience. The staff is kind and caring from the moment I walk in, to the moment I leave. The creativity and skill of the stylists is mind blowing. Im a longtime Inspire customer. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else. Lindsay cuts and colors my hair. Kayla gives me facials and massages. Jenna and Lori give me pedicures. Hayley and her team spin it all to make it easy for me to schedule an appointment. I love my experience at Inspire and always look forward to the next visit. xo :)

Id give 0 if I could. $70 for a haircut is ridiculous. The cheapest was 30 and I asked if I could and the hairstylist said she didnt feel comfortable doing my hair. I asked why be a hair stylist if you cant cut someones hair. She said its because I have complicated hair. Maybe this place should hire qualified employees.

Worst highlight job I have ever received. They were very kind and tried to fix it but my natural highlights were already ruined and I dont know if Ill ever get my previous hair back. I was there for 5 hours straight and still my hair was messed up. They had good intentions but awful results.
