I went here for about 9 years. I had an interesting experience. While I had Sheila as a teacher, I really enjoyed myself. I did it for fun and recreation, not so much for the competitive part. But I did that happily. However when I had Shannon I was constantly belittled and screamed at... I guess thats her way of teaching? She was why I quit. I used to enjoy dancing, but honestly when I started to have Shannon, I started resenting coming to class. It used to be something I looked forward to, but she turned it into a very anxious environment. I remember everyone trying to please her and get on her good side. It just wasnt fun anymore. If youre considering coming her do fun and recreation like I did, I suggest going somewhere else. If youre looking for competition and intensity, I think this might be better for you. However I still get anxious thinking about going to practice because of the hostile environment Shannon made. I look back on my earlier years with Sheila happily, and she was harsh, but she made it enjoyable. I think of the years toward the end, and I remember being embarrassed and called out on in front of everyone. I would consider other studios, but granted I did learn a lot with Sheila and her grand daughters
