First off, thanks for coming in when it was required (was charged $160 for showing up .... no problem), but these guys were not able to diagnose the problem at all. It was all trial and error and their pricing was ridiculous. At first they diagnosed it as a blower capacitor problem. Replaced with a $20 capacitor and charged me $294. It still didnt work and so they were called again, this time they diagnosed it as a blower motor issue. Replacing a blower motor means the capacitor should also be replaced (both come together), but they wouldnt adjust the $294 in the price to replace the blower motor instead gave me a separate quote for $800+ to replace blower motor. I called in another technician and he replaced blower motor and the capacitor for under $400.

What what a ripoff! I called to fix a leak in my central air unit. It was important to have it done quickly because I have a newborn at home. They came right out. After being at my home for about a hr they told me I needed a whole new system for 5 to 6k. They were not certain where the leak was and said it was probably in the coil.I paid them $240.00 Before I was to give them 6k for a new system I decided to get a 2nd opinion with someone I know. All they did was pop t he cover open locate the leak and they repaired it a few hours. I just saved $5,500! I decided to call the owner and ask for a refund. He placed all the blame on me and refused to work out some type of agreement.I would not recommend them!

Air Specialties comes out twice a year to inspect and make seasonal changes to my home heating and air conditioning system. Jim, the service technician, arrives on time and gets the job done compentently and quickly. He is familiar with my home and it saves a lot of time. Suggestions and reminders are made on how to manage the system for optimal performance. It is always a pleasure to work with this company from the office to the technicians, as they know who I am and remember my needs and requirements. Thank you for the great service!

I have used this company for several years and have never had a problem with them or their service. I will admit that one year I tried a different company out of Milford and yes, the price was less, but the quality cant come close. Air Specialties has always been up front with me about what they can do and the cost, they left it up to me to make the decision; never any hard sell from them like you receive from some other companies. They may be small, but their honesty and integrity cant be beat.

This company robs you. They tell you that they have a diagnosis fee, fine. However, I told the technician PRIOR to coming to look at my AC unit that they would need a ladder to get to the compressor. He gets to the restaurant and tells my employee that he needs a second technician to help him with a ladder to get on the roof and CHARGES us the diagnosis fee just for that. Complete BS.

They replaced broken dampers and upgraded to a digital system that worked well all winter. When weather got hot the AC didnt work and they squeezed me in quickly to check and found a loose wire. This was fixed as part of the original job. So far all is working. Their estimates have consistently been honored. I have no complaints and would recommend them.

Not once have I had any reason to complain about the companys service.
