The food was good, no complaints there. However communication was terrible. I want to say I had a good experience because Eric seems to get very positive reviews from most but that just wasnt the case with me. There were emails I did not get responses to and when I followed up the response I got was "no news is good news, and yes thats fine" which made me feel initially like I was being a bother. I was asked to provide measurements for the tables for the linens which I did. I had a friend of mine pick up the linens the day before so we could set up, there were too many and they were all different sizes. My friend said it seemed they were not expecting him even though I had communicated with the owner Eric several times. When it was time for the catering staff to leave, they had asked if we wanted to leave the linens (it seemed like they didnt want to pack them up with them) so I said thats fine, we will drop them off tomorrow (which was Sunday). So I had the same friend drive out to New Haven to drop off the linens and the business was closed. No one answered the phone. I tried Eric several times because we didnt want to leave linens there. I finally got in touch with him and he reminded me it was fathers day. So then I felt like crap, because Im not an inconsiderate person, and my friend was standing outside the business calling me not knowing what to do. I was exhausted from planning and organizing a weekend wedding and needed to catch a flight for my honeymoon and we live and hour and a half away from the wedding venue in orange. So my friend took all the linens back to my house, I told Eric I would phone him in a week or so to meet somewhere to deliver the linens. I called and emailed after the wedding but plans were never made. The linens are sitting in my basement growing mold. I had great experiences with everyone else I worked with to plan my wedding. I just wish this company made it a little easier.

We looked for a caterer on the internet for our wedding and based on reviews decided to check out Sweet relief. We went down to West Haven to meet with Eric and talk about the menu. It is an unassuming building, but easy to find. Once we tasted the food Eric was preparing for us we knew we had found our guy. The day of the wedding, everything went as planned. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. We received multiple compliments from our guests. The staff that worked the event were supremely professional; down to the detail of getting on hands and knees to clean a floor of the kitchen that was used for prep. I LOVE working with Eric! This is the second time that my non-profit has used this catering company. The first time was for a very large function of over 200 people back in July- Eric was extremely easy to work with and helped us to build a menu that would best suit our needs. So now its company X-mas party time and of course we all agreed to call Sweet Relief! I told Eric what we were in the mood for and he created a meal that was so amazing and really helped to make our evening magical. Eric is such a hard worker and you can tell he really cares about his clients and his business. Cant recommend Sweet Relief enough!

Sweet Relief did a fabulous job catering my daughters wedding. Eric was flexible, accessible, and extremely easy to work with. He and his staff were great - passing appetizers, cleaning up, cutting the cake, putting together plates for the bride and groom. The food was excellent - many compliments on the grilled salmon and the scallop ceviche in particular. We had a Tuscan Table which looked beautifully abundant with veggies, breads, cheeses, etc. All for an excellent price! We are so glad that we found Sweet Relief and highly recommend them!

We received lots of great feedback from our guest about how good the food was. Our onsite chef (Brandon) was also wonderful and the service was awesome! The pulled pork and chicken were delicious. The staff -- AWESOME!! Very disappointed with a few of the products and when I spoke to the owner about this he was not apologetic. I will not use them again because our health is more important than good food.
