Using Carmon Funeral home has been the worst experience in my life especial at a time like this. I made all my arrangements with the owner and the service was horrible. Here is my list of complaints: 1. They did not die my mothers hair as I requested on several occasion and I even provided a photo. 2. The casket I selected was not the correct color. 3. I had to basically verify my insurance information yet they charge you 5% of the balance to complete the insurance work. 4. They ran out of thank you cards. I was told I had to pick them up later. Well you messed this up so I feel you should get them to me. 5. They did not coordinate with the other funeral (my mother died in another state) to request my death certificate. 6. The day of the funeral my mothers clothing as a mess. The funeral director did not check her appearance prior to letting people view her body. Her sister had to inform two people before the correction was made. 7. The day before the funeral I asked about complete the head stone information. I was told I didnt have to complete anything. The day of my service I was pulled from the vitiation and given 5 minutes to complete the form I was told the day before I didnt need to complete. 8. Carmons missed up on my burial which caused us to be behind schedule. When we arrived at the repast the driver wanted to drop us off and leave. I paid for two hours at the repast; it was not my fault we ran behind schedule. 9. The funeral director botched up the burial ceremony. It was horrible. 10. My biggest compliant the burial. All my arrangements were scheduled for a Friday. On Wednesday I was told my loved one would be buried on Monday. I was told the cemetery was booked for the day, I could change my service to Thursday evening and have the burial on Friday morning, that the cemetery only buries 3 spouses per day, and that people plan burials 2-3 weeks in advance at this cemetery. When I called the cemetery and spoke with the manager I was told they never received a request to bury my mother on Friday. The manger was really nice and I worked my in for Friday. I found the employees of this funeral home to be quite unethical in their practice. I felt like I was told what everything was workable until they got the body in their possession and at that point they didnt give a care. I was lied too on several occasions and they constantly tried to push the blame on someone else.

As a grief struck loved one I had expected the staff would be more compassionate and inviting. The reception was less than welcoming. We were greeted by a man who didnt seem to know what we were there for. (we said we had come to pick up our loved ones ashes). We were asked to have a seat and when he returned I realized he was carrying a stringed bag like he was coming out of Walmart. I thought to myself " oh my gosh, hes being brought to us in a bag!" I expected someone to show more meaning to turn over someones remains to grief struck loved ones. It was like, "heres your merchandise". Really, I mean REALLY are you kidding me???? We were so stunned that my companion could not say a word. They offered NO CONDOLENCES, yes, not EVEN Im sorry for your loss. Yes they did communicate when they asked if a credit card was being used and if we wanted a printed or emailed receipt. The lady seemed taken back when a printed copy was requested. I get it, you can get desensitized with the mundane aspects of your profession but one should consider moving forward to another line of work with their standards of service.

The Davidson family would like to thank Carmon Funeral Homes. In this time of great sadness John Carmon and his family displayed extreme professionalism, care and detail to our beloved Derrick Davidson who passed away on June 15, 2016. We were unsure of what to expect but I can assure you Carmon Funeral Homes far exceeded our expectations. John Carmon and his family was diligent in his efforts to ensure our loved one was buried to our satisfaction. It is with great pleasure that I write this review and say a final thank you to Carmon Funeral Homes Inc, for providing excellent service.

My Grandfather passed away July 21, 2009, he had already told our family that Carmon Funeral Home was to take care of his body. I called and spoke immediately with Mrs. Wendy Thames and setup our appointment for 1pm that day. Mrs. Thames listened to our family needs and ideas and gave us ideas. My Grandfathers funeral was real nice and Carmon did an awesome job by making my Grandfather look as if he was young again. Carmon keep up the great work. I would recommend Carmon Funeral Home anyday. The Maylor Family

Carmon Funeral Homes staff is unbelievable. During the difficult time of planning a funeral, they took over and were so kind and accommodating. They took care of every detail. Even after everything was over, they still would still check on us to see how we are doing.

Of course, you dont want to need their services. But we were in Connecticut for my father in laws funeral, and they were very helpful with everything, kind and respectful. If you do need tots type of service, I recommend them.
