I was introduced to Carl Alesi and his business through my Realtor in Rehoboth at Long & Foster who has worked with Carl for many years. I cant speak highly enough about my entire experience with Carl and his company and roster of subcontractors. In the end, he was supremely responsible for turning my renovation vision of my dream beach home into a reality. In this day & age where a sense of work ethic and pride in the actual work done, not to mention attentiveness to details and responsiveness seems to have all but disappeared, Carl was the quintessential business man. Perhaps it is because of his many decades in this line of work, but I appreciated the caliber and quality of each and every aspect of my renovation. The fact that Carl uses the word "custom" in the name of his business is most apropos, because there were elements of my renovation that one could only describe as custom. Even though I worked with a very talented interior decorator and a separate architect firm, many great and innovative ideas about particular pieces of my renovation came from Carl himself. It was a seemless collaboration. I attribute that to Carls many years in the business along with his desire to build and improve that which he is working on. I have a custom semi-spiral staircase, a custom screened in porch, and custom stone fireplace along with many other wonderful features to my beach home that Carl was responsible for bringing to fruition. No renovation project is ever void of hiccups or snags, but in every instance Carl worked diligently to resolve any unpleasant situations to my complete satisfaction. Clearly, I cant say enough about Mr. Alesi and his company, and would wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend them! Dont look any further...

I contracted with Carl Alessi and Alessi Construction to do screened in porch addition on my home as well as remove and replace the siding. I met with Carl to discuss the contractor, signed the contract and gave him a $5,000 deposit. About a week before he was to start the work, he decided that the siding wasnt included and wanted another $30,000 to do the complete job. I was shocked to say the least and when he never showed up to start on July 6th or responded to me, I knew he wasnt a man of his word and told him to either get the work done or refund the deposit. Yesterday in the mail I get back my plans and a check for just under $4,800. I called Carl to find out why the check isnt equal to the deposit I gave him and all I got was attitude. He sent me a permit that I can not use and told me "be glad I didnt charge you for my time". REALLY?!?!?! I would NEVER recommend Carl Alessi or his company to ANYONE! I will also let everyone who recommended him to me know the type of person he is. STAY AWAY!

We had a major remodel done by Carl Alesi Builders and he did an amazing job. The work was done on time, as quoted, and is better than we imagined. Carl Alesi had great suggestions that we would not have thought of on our own, and we were glad we listened. These included moving a staircase which had been an obstacle right in the middle of the house, putting a tin roof on the new front porch, using concrete siding instead of vinyl, the placement of windows to give our oddly shaped house a more symmetric look, and installing custom barn doors on the bicycle storage shed he built. He easily resolved the unexpected problems we encountered in rebuilding an old existing house. Carl was very professional, easy to work with, and did not mind us making changes to the scope of the project as it progressed. We would hire him again for any future projects, and we recommend him without reservation.

We got quotes for some exterior repair and remodeling work. Not only did Carl have the best price, he actually included more work items. His crew got started right away and continued working until they were done. Speaking of which, both Sean and Jason were polite, professional, and willing to explain what was going on. They also dealt very well with problems that cropped up due to concealed conditions. And their work was very high quality. Fair pricing, quality workmanship, responsive company. Would not hesitate to use this firm again.

It was a pleasure having Alesi Custom Builders remodel our bathroom for our business. Carl stayed true to his estimate of time and cost and delivered high quality work taking into consideration our environment and working with us to make that as smooth as possible, creating solutions for problems other builders did not anticipate such as creating a temporary door for privacy during the construction, and working around our hours of operation. I will be using Alesi Custom Builders again for any construction we may need.
