I need to confess to everyone that I am not a car person or do I claim to know much of anything when it comes to cars. With that being said, I am that guy that takes his car into a shop and believes everything they tell you, because they are the professionals of their field. Now don’t get me wrong, I make sure to do my due diligence and try to decode what they are saying that I need done in order to have my car run at its peak potential. My 2010 Mazda was having problems and I took my car into two different shops; one being the dealership that shares the same name as my car. Said dealership explained to me that I needed to have my whole engine replaced and that it would cost upwards of $8,500. Suffice it to say, I quickly became discouraged that my 90,000 mile car was now dead in the water and I would have to make some rash decision on what to do next. That’s when AAMCO BRADENTON stepped into the equation. I was without hope and super depressed with what to do and I drove by AAMCO. I gave them a call and an angel on the other side of the receiver picked up and assisted me with what to do next. Lisa calmly took my name and number and expressed to me that she would make sure to connect me to the Customer Service Manager Lewis Daniel. Remember, I don’t know anything about cars, and I also just received the worst news I could have ever imagined. Lewis explained to me that a new engine was ridiculous and that he would love to help me figure out what can be done to get my car running the right way. Lewis made me feel positive and confident that he was going to figure out the problem and rectify it as quick and as economical as possible. He called me with updates every day and treated me with so much respect that I knew I found a mechanic for life. Lewis and Lisa successfully took my car from junk to road ready. They concluded that nothing was actually wrong with the car when I brought it into them. When the car was flushed, it must have fixed the problem and Lewis explained that nothing needed to be done. This is the first time in my life that I took my car into a shop and was told that I didn’t need to buy more parts and replace the rest of them in order for my car to work. Lewis and AAMCO BRADENTON were absolutely honest with me and delivered my keys back without any charge. (ALSO A FIRST IN MY LIFE) If you are planning on having anything done with your vehicle and don’t know who to trust, let me recommend to you this awesome establishment that will not only take care of your car, but also will make you feel good knowing that there are still honest people out in this world. Thank you Lewis, Lisa and the rest of the crew at AAMCO for all of your assistance; you now have a customer for life.

Went to the shop a little over a week ago to have my brakes done. Im from up north so my car is heavily rusted and a lot of the back brake system needed to be repaired. They were able to make an appointment the same day I called. Unfortunately, they didnt have all the parts they needed and had to order them. They kept my car over night, informed me as soon as the parts came in and that they had started work on it right away. Because of my work schedule I wasnt able to pick it up until the next day. Their prices were fair and they even took mercy on me and knocked off some of the labor charges to help me out. The staff was polite, generous, helpful and trustworthy (I forgot some money in the cupholder of my car and it was still there when I got the car back, which is more than I can say would have happened at a lot of other places!) and Im really glad I chose this shop for my car care needs. Thats not the end of this story though! After getting the back brakes replaced I noticed a strange smell from the back of the car, I was pretty sure it was just the new parts wearing in, but then I also noticed that my car started to vibrate when I drove it. I called and told them about it the next morning and they told me to come on in so they could check it out. Turns out that while I was cleaning my car and had moved the e-brake to get around the center console the e-brake had gotten stuck and trashed the wheel drum. They identified the problem and since my brakes were under warranty, fixed the problem for free. Really great people. Would recommend them to anyone!

UPDATE #2: On May 04, 2016, I have had a preventive power steering fluid flush done. Today I learned that my power steering pump is bad. Coincidence??? UPDATE: I praised this place too early. Had an oil change done in February. The last oil change about a week ago, I did it myself. To my surprise I pulled out a Firestone oil filter. I had it done by Firestone before I went to AAMCO. I also had a lot of other work done at that place and I am not sure if they done anything after that. They offered me two free oil changes. Yeah, after all this I will be coming back. I drove 8000 miles on an oil filter and who knows if they even changed the oil. The people in the office are nice but they need better staff and check on them. Sad, just sad. I just hope my car will be okay. Luis, Lisa and their mechanics have always treated me well. Whenever I had a problem they would fit me in and solve my problems. Prices are competitive and beat most of the other automotive places out there. It is very hard to find a good car repair place nowadays. I can only recommend them.
