I am a bestselling author and my hair is really important to me. Richard, the owner of Amanda Richards Salon took to the task and is such a gifted hair stylist I see him once a week now. Number one, I have long hair for age 52 and I asked him to not cut it too short the first time to see if he was good at cut. Richard has to be the first person in my life who managed to keep it long AND develop a great cut - called "precision" cutting. This is where some cuts are shorter than others to allow your hair to really fall sexy when it hits the shoulders. And it is not easy to do. He did it! Typically I can only find "precision" cutters in major cities such as Houston, NYC - very few in Bradenton even know what I am talking about. If you have Richard do your hair consider asking for the gloss, it is like a color but is clear and lasts for weeks. It is around $35 - and originally I was just having him apply a deep condition that may have been close to the same price. In humid Florida the gloss is wonderful and helps keep your hair from frizzing out. COLOR CHANGE FROM "BOX JOB" BLACK I had been doing my own roots for years in "dark brown" but had so much pigment built it - my hair looked black, and rather fake black. No salon said they could remove that much pigment in one session without harming the hair and wanted like eight sessions. Richard DID remove enough pigment in one session without harming my hair and I am now a true chestnut brown-and it looks beautiful. So Amanda Richards Salon in Bradenton FL is the BEST HAIR SALON in BRADENTON FLORIDA and they can do miracles with hair. Richard does my roots now - not me. He is the best and he has hired very talented other stylists. His training, I found, was global and he lived in Paris a few years and other metro cities, which is usually the best place for hair stylists to perfect their craft. Also the Salon is very contemporary and VERY clean. Clean is the first thing on my mind when I am at any salon and I noticed everything when it comes to sanitation. Amanda Richards Salon is located right next to Fresh Market on Manatee Avenue and this is actually how I found him after giving up on a hair stylist in my city.

I am a new resident of Bradenton, FL and needed to find a new stylist and salon. So I read reviews! This salon came up as one of the best. After reading the reviews, I chose Caryn. She was mentioned as a stylist who listens to what YOU want. I called and booked an appointment. When I called, the receptionist was friendly and very informative. When I arrived for my appointment, I was warmly greeted by everyone. At least three people came to ask if I was being helped. I was a little nervous because I had had the same hair stylist in Massachusetts for 12 years--and I loved him. While I was waiting--I came early--I watched Caryn with her client. She treated this person with respect, kindness, and genuine concern. I was taken at the exact time of my appointment. We talked about what I wanted and we discussed my options. I wanted color, cut and blow dry. She chose a color that matched my hair perfectly, cut just a little because thats what I wanted, and blew it dry. I loved it! Caryn is friendly, knowledgeable, and respects her clients wishes! I have received so many compliments on my hair! I made the right choice! Great salon, great stylist!

I took my fiancé to this salon for a haircut. Considering the quality of the cut, the overall look upon leaving, and his input, I have to say it was not a good job. He said to give it a week for the fresh cut to take its shape and look. In CT, he walked out of a salon one day thinking he just got the worst cut of his life. A week later, he loved the look and the style. So, again, he gave it a week. In his words, it is still one of the bad cuts. it was not even straight, it looks bushy, and the side burns werent trimmed like they should have been(very uneven). For $38, the cut should have looked awesome. The price paid for outweighed the amount he ever paid in New England. It was a real disappointment. Not a place that he will go again.

Lori gave my curly hair new life! I walked in ready to chop it all off. Frustrasted I made an appointment with Lori who absolutely knows curly hair ladies and gents. She gave me a treatment to take out the harsh heavy metals of Florida and immediately I could feel a difference.
