Ill NEVER walk into or shop at ULTA AGAIN!! I had a hair EMERGENCY ( my hair broke off from putting it in a wet ponytail and falling asleep and hair broke off from bleach damage) I had only $5.00 to my name but I had a ULTA REWARDS POINTS CARD worth $53.00 so I CALLED and asked if that could be used for a salon service and I made it VERY CLEAR "I WAS BROKE AND IT WAS A REWARDS POINTS CARD I WOULD BE USING" Girl over the phone said " Oh yes of course you can use the rewards card" and made my apt for an hour later.. I get there amd SHOW the hairdresser my REWARDS POINTS CARD and explained my situation of only having the rewards card w $53.00 on it and asked if her tip could go on it aswell being I only had $5.00 to my name that day and she said " Oh yes thats fine we wont go over that amount and yes my tip can go on it also" ..OKAY so I got the haircut and hair treatment THINKING EVERYRHING WAS FINE AND MAY I ADD I HAD MY 2 YR OLD SON WITH ME THAT DAY SO EVERYTHING THAT FOLLOWED HE WITNESSED ..... I go up to pay with my REWARDS POINTS CARD AND IT WAS DENIED ! THEY SAID "CASH OR CREDIT CARD ONLY MAY BE USED FOR SALON SERVICES" so I explained what all I had been told by TWO ULTA EMPLOYEES and that I showed the hairdresser which card I was using and they went back spoke with the hairdresser AND SAID " OH THEY BOTH ☆ASSUMED☆ YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT THE CREDIT CARD" WHICH IS NOT CORRECT I MADE IT SO VERY CLEAR AND EVEN SHOWED THE HAIRDRESSER WHICH CARDS IT WAS AND CALLED IT MY REWARDS POINTS CARD They said I either pay cash/credit/debit OR GO TO JAIL.. AND THEY CALLED THE POLICE ON ME!! IM STILL IN COMPLETE SHOCK they would DO A SERVICE KNOWING MY ONLY METHOD OF PAYMENT WOULDNT BE ACCEPTED AND THAT THEY ACTUALLY TRIED HAVING ME PUT IN JAIL BC THERI EMPLOYEES LIED TO ME !! So cops show up and of course all they care about is a service was done AND NOT PAID FOR AND TOLD ME "I EITHER PAY OR GO TO JAIL" I frantically called family members to see who could help me BUT ULTA REFUSED PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE so to make things worse my mother had JUST finished shopping for her ice cream,milk, etc and was a hour away SO EVERYTHING FROZEN AND COLD GOT RUINED IN THE FLORIDA HEAT BY THE TIME SHE HAD TO DRIVE TO ULTA TO SAVE ME FROM JAIL AND GOT HOME TO HER HOUSE W HER MELTED GROCERIES AND SPOILED MILK PRODUCTS.. ONLY THANKS TO MY MOM I DID NOT GO TO JAIL BC ULTA EMPLOYEES KNOWING DID A SERVICE ☆THEY KNEW I COULDNT PAY FOR☆ due to not being able to use my rewards card for salon services!!! THEY WERE SO RUDE AND COMPLETELY UNDERSTOOD I ONLY HAD A REWARDS CARD YET STILL DID THE SERVICE THEN CALLED THE POLICE and tried tonhave me taken to jail... I had those points bc a hair dresser before my incident CUT my brother ear pretty bad (( his review is also up on this site its AWFUL he was SO BLOODY and the hairdresser never even said she was sorry for cutting him so bad and gave no discount for cutting him open, so they added CASH ONTO MY REWARDS CARD)) I SPEND LOTS MONEY IN THAT STORE ON my Bare Mineral and Urban Decay makeup (( just a cpl months before the incident I SPENT almost $400.00 in 1 trip and I ALWAYS average around that much cash during my shopping trips)) I wasnt even offered a REWARDS CARD for all my purchases until the incident w my brother SO I COULD HAVE BEEN RACKING UP MAJOR SHOPPING POINTS W EVERY PURCHASE BUT DID NOT REALIZE.. PLUS they will not use the coupons sent out to REWARDS members monthly and always have an excuse Why u cannot use a coupon... I was already almost fed up w Ulta but this LAST INCIDENT SEALED THE DEAL ~ ILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN !! Sephora will be my NEW MAKEUP STORE AND SO FAR SEPHORA HAS BEEN WONDERFUL !!

I have been to this salon twice. The first time I got an amazing cut from a very unprofessional stylist. She kept stopping to text with I dont know who. I thought ok, maybe its an emergency. Then she started to use profanity while looking at her phone. Another stylist showed up to start her shift and she started to vent to said stylist about her texts. I was a new customer and they were running a special for which she did not give me. I left happy with my cut and style but not so much with the service I received. Fast forward a year, still without a stylist to call my own I decided to give Ulta Salon another chance. I thought well maybe it will be better this time, after all the cut was good. I am now on my second visit. I go in and ask for layers and a blow out. Lets just say that it did not go as planned. I did not receive layers and my blow out was more like a blow dry. I went with another person for a spa day and we had to wait for 3 hours for both of us to be done because my friends stylist was not ready for her appointment, she decided to color another persons hair at the time that my friends appointment was supposed to start (she also had a not so great cut). I will not be returning to Ulta for a third time and if I couldve given less than one star that would be exactly what I wouldve given. I am not saying all Ulta stylist are horrible, I really dont know, but in my experience with Ulta 0 out of 2 is a loss for me. Im done.

I was going to a girl named Kim who did an amazing job on my hair then she quit so i went to Tiffany the salon manager...and she screwed my hair up BIG TIME!!! She over texturized it to a point that one side is noticeably thinner than the other. I have thick hair and spend hundreds of dollars a month on my hair for color...foils...cuts...blow dry..flat iron and Keratin. Tiffany screwed my hair up so badly that its going to take a year to correct. I cannot believe Ulta would let her be a stylist let alone management. SHE IS AWEFUL!!! I hate ulta at Gulfview and will NEVER go back...if you like your hair DO NOT GO THERE AND SIT IN TIFFANYS SEAT...She is a hillbilly from hell.

Wrote a lengthy review on yelp, cant do it again. Basically there doesnt seem to be anyone there who wants to help a customer. Ever. After three times of attempting to get a person to even acknowledge me, it seemed like it wasnt worth going into. I was recommended because my daughter told me they will show you how to use a product. We never got that far because after a while if I am completely ignored, I just leave. One of the times I actually waited for two people at the front desk talking to each other, not interrupting, and finally walked out. Very disappointing....

Stylist unprofessional. Other employee walking around in sandals. Stylist let her hair lay on my face as she was washing my hair. She left a bunch of conditioner in around my neck. Didnt ask if the length was good, just styled it as my chair was turned. Asked after it was styled which makes no sense. I have short fine hair, and she loaded it with product so much it was greasy and clumping together. Not to mention she bragged about coming to work at Ulta has a step up because "when youre a good stylist you want to go high end"
