Part 1 of 2 Does anybody else have these problems with Howard Leasing? HL has been the most frustrating experience, which started very suspiciously when our old payroll company Direct HR went belly up and we were contact by HL before we even knew that our payroll company was going out of business. Verbal statements that were made by HL leasing, when discussing terms, went against anything that was actually written in the agreement. For instance: "Oh it will never be a problem if you want to leave with us" -- Yeah right!! BEWARE!!! If you hear that – don’t buy it. They cannot record hours or deductions correctly (or only seldom to be accurate), which leads to our employees being upset and having to be comped on a following check. Often we had to pay out cash (because we realize many people live pay check to pay check and we don’t accept workers going unpaid!) so employees were able to be paid which all creates a mountain of more work for the books, time, etc. There was a pay period when all of a sudden we were sent 30 pre-loaded debit cards without any prior information or notice, WHICH DID NOT EVEN WORK. Nobody was able to draw their income out, and when they did start working, everybody was charged ATM fees for each transaction. How bogus is that? Also, new employees were not put into the system, sometimes went under or not insured because of HL not following through. That is not only bad, but outright dangerous and neglect! These problems persisted over the entire year and continue today. (literally today is a pay day and there are issues AGAIN today! Surprise! Hours every week go by always ironing things out) It very well cost our business at least $10,000.00 or more just to deal with their mistakes. They will not provide you with necessary information. They do not hold up to promises and their own agreement. No Handbooks, Instructions, Manuals, Policies were provided and consequently not put into place. When their safety coordinator came out, he literally reviewed our entire safety handbook/guide in less than 30 seconds. (Read quickly over the Table of Contents and said "Ok Looks good" -- WOW!!) Oh, and it took ELEVEN MONTHS for the Safety Coordinator to come out. ELEVEN MONTHS!! Talking about some serious neglect here. Their employees will literally HANG UP on you when there is a slight point of argument/serious discussion. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! If I did that to our customers, I might as well pack my bags! After a whole year of their service we had enough and have been looking around for months now. We have asked them for Stop/Loss Reports, but those request go ignored or will send you the wrong information. They will make it MOST COMPLICATED FOR YOU to obtain necessary information to provide to any new payroll company if you are going “shopping”. BEWARE!!!. Not just bad customer service, thats pretty much deliberately trying to manipulate the process of ceasing a relationship with them. They will NOT MAKE IT EASY! Part 1 of 2 - To be Continued.

We used Howard Leasing for a few years and things were ok until, we did some cost comparison and found a PEO that could save us thousands of dollars yearly for the same service. We contacted HL and asked for our workers comp. loss run report which we needed to change PEOs. HL ignored our repeated requests both verbally and in writing over the next several weeks which effectively held us hostage to continue using them. They only response we got from them was that we were bound to continue using them by a service agreement that we never signed. We asked repeatedly for a copy of the service agreement and again, our requests were ignored. We did finally stop using HL and now theyve sent us a demand letter for $2,936.07 stating we violated a service agreement that they failed to provide for services they have not provided. HL was ok until we tried to leave them when they resorted to bully tactics to keep taking our money. They are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and we DO NOT RECOMMEND doing business with them.

Very disorganized. I used to be the intern there, I thought it would be a great opportunity, however, they didnt teach me much. After the first week, there was no real work for me to do. I had to approach the manager every two hours or so to ask for work, and she will turn me to the controller, and the controller told me to ask the manager! Very unprofessional, I applied for an accounting position, in the end, they let me just shred their checks, those should have been shredded at least half a year ago. It was a whole pile of checks, so I could see how they were doing business with their clients. Seriously, if all you want is a person to shred your paper, print out forms and answer phone calls, dont even borther to hire someone with an accounting master degree who actually expected to do accounting related work like yall promised during the interview. Terrible place to work for.

You better hope you have someone good working in your office to make sure Howard Leasing is not scamming you out of money. Then when you find out they are and approach them about it, it takes months to get your money back. Once you get your money back you have every right to leave the company for bad business. But wait, better hope you have that attorney in your pocket because they will try to breach you and collect some ridiculous amount of money they think is owed to them after already stealing from you. REALLY!!! Oh, and the customer service sucks even though they pride themselves on it. Lastly, why do they think they have the right to show up to my business without making an appt? You are not the state inspector, you are not the law, who do you think you are??

Thomas & CJ Allied has been working to reduce costs and still provide health insurance as an employee benefit. I know Devin has been working to come up with an alternative plan(s) to offer. Allied would save more monies by not offering this benefit, but Allied has decided to offer health insurance. There is no doubt that rates we have enjoyed with Howard Leasing are the best possible. However, economics have forced our hand. We have enjoyed a courteous and professional relationship for many years, and I hope this can continue. Please know that I am happy to continue to be a reference for your services. With very best regards Esther Marantz Controller Allied Kitchen & Bath

Very happy with this company - Angela is awesome to work with, always helpful and willing to work with you. If I have any questions, she always gets me the correct answer. Kelcie is also very helpful with getting back to us. The owner, CJ also always calls me back with any HR issues or complex questions. Overall, very satisfied to have them as our HR/Payroll agency!

Horrifying dishonest unethical, amazing theyre in business still. Avoid at all costs. There are so many reputable and honest payroll companies and leasing companies around - this is the worst company in the state.
