Well had to check it out. I really needed a cut while in town. While looking for an early morning BARBER like I use in Ocala, I found them to be open at 7 am on a Saturday. SCORE all the others were 9 and later. I drove the 15 minutes over. Walked up to a shop that looked like it was what I was looking for, it saint BARBER not stylists and said HOT SHAVE on the front. When I walked in I is a nice place with a barber shop feel. There was one guy being finished up by a lady. I took a seat as she was wrapping up. Another lady came out and invited me back. I had a s at and was hoping she was able to do my cut and shave. I asked if she was a stylist or barber. She stated she was a stylist and there would be no barber till 11. So she could not do what I was looking for a barber for. Stylists can not do the hot shave I was looking for. I let her do my cut and clean me up with the clippers. She did a fine Haur Cuttery style job with out the hair wash they do but not the barber experience I was looking for. I left a 4 but really thought about a 3 due to not being able to do a barbers job that I came for. All in all she was nice, she did a fine job for what it was and the place was nice. But it was basic hair cuttery with no shampoo for the same money. I did get right in in minutes, she did a fine quick job, and I was out early and home by 8. If looking for a barber, do call to see if they actually have one

Been going there for years. Have had my hair cut by just about everyone there. 80% of the time I get home my wife says its horrible. Uneven, not very thorough. Biggest disappointment is they have no one in charge like a receptionist etx. Sat one time for 30 minutes after being told to take a seat and wait only to finally ask a rough estimate of time (30 minutes later) and told their not taking walk ins because there only taking appointments! Only had two people working what seemed to be a high demand time. I left as well as two other people and several that walked in then out. Smaller complaint would be expect the cooking channel or a daily talk show on the tvs. Not sports or manly stuff as they clearly advertise towards. I think the owner needs to spend a little more time evaluating this operation.

Decent job on my hair, BUT customer service sucks! Two weeks ago I went and there were two barbers. One was cutting a guys hair and the other was playing on her cell phone. The one on the phone said she was waiting on an appointment to show up so I had to wait. I waited 20 minutes and she finally said she would cut my hair. I almost missed my flight because of this. Then this morning, the same EXACT scenario.... two barbers and the same woman on her cell phone told me she was waiting on an appointment. After waiting 10 minutes and still a no show, I left. I will never go back to that place. Too many other places in the area with better service.

Their hours of operation say they are open until 7. I get there around 615 and their OPEN sign is on. When I open the door, a woman runs over to me yells that they arent taking any more customers, turn off the OPEN sign and quite literally closes/locks the door in my face. Wow, that is a new level of rudeness. Will never attempt to go there again. Will never recommend that anybody else go there. Will tell other people not to go there.

Looking for a change in scenery from the ubiquitous chain establishments, I came across the Old School Barber Shop. After reading the negative reviews about early closing, I called ahead to make an appointment (highly recommended). This shop was the change of pace I needed. The shop itself was inviting, the staff was friendly, and my stylist (Anila) was phenomenal.

**Always make an appointment** This is a very popular spot to get a cut as it should be, the staff are awesome and very professional and take their time to make sure that you are looking your best. A majority of people walk in and I have waited an hour and a half- not complaining, just illustrating the popularity- an appointment can save you time.

Waited forever and haircut looks awful made them fix it and had to wait even longer, they pulled my sons hair and made him cry- he is 8 and has had many haircuts and doesnt ever cry. Husbands haircut looks like a 2 year old cut it! Horrible service ! Avoid this place !

Excellent cut. I drive a long way from work but its worth it. I get the same barber by calling ahead for an appointment and love the thoroughness and attention. She does all the "little things" barbers used to do.
