Ive recently moved into the area, and I was looking for barber shops near me. This one came up as the closest, so I thought I would give it a try. To start when I walked in I wasnt greeted by a "Hello" or "Good Morning", even though I said a greeting to them I received no reply. I sat down in one of the waiting chairs, and when I looked up everyone in the shop had a look of displeased on their face. I being the odd one in the room felt very uncomfortable, so much that I decided to text my mother where I was just in case something happened. After a couple of minutes, a barber asked me "How could I help you", to me I felt the comment had a negative tone, but I paid it no mind. I told the barber what I wanted to be done to my hair, but it seemed that he did not have any experience hair other than that of people with straight hair (personally I feel like a barber should have some type of knowledge working with all kinds of hair, otherwise their license should be suspended/revoked). I was in and out of the chair in less than a minute, and the barber seemed not to put much care into getting my hair style correct, unlike those before me. In conclusion, this is one of the worst hair cuts I have ever had in my entire life, and I had to immediately go to a shopping center to buy a skull cap to hide my hair to avoid embarrassment. I would never go here again.

When I moved here I went to another barber shop and had a horrible experience and found Genes shop by accident however to my liking a very great experience. Dont know what the other guy is talking about but Gene and his staff( son) and very nice ladies in the shop give you the old time barber shop feel you see on the movies or andy Griffith show.... I have been back atleast once a month ever since ... trust me they are the nicest people and best experience in the business.... try you wont go wrong... thanks Gene see yall soon Greg

I as the owner and one of the barbers that work there am absolutely shocked at the review by this mr.pope. As a grown man moving to a new area, would Never put myself or the people in a barbershop in a position like that. Nor would I have to call my mom. If I were that afraid something could happen to me,I would just leave! I pride myself in always making sure everyone is greeted when entering my shop. Furthermore, there are only 2 men working here, my son and me so his accus at ion has no merit.

Great place for a haircut. The only barbershop I know of with that old time feel. Where you are more than a head of hair. Unlike most chain shops. Very frieiand clean.
