I am extremely disgusted with Chrissie. From the beginning I saw that she was unprofessional because she never had my information entered into the system and she never knew who we were. The first proposal she gave me actually had another brides name and contact information on it! We were strictly rental customers and Im pretty sure we were treated poorly because we were not one of her bigger customers. One of the things that struck me as unprofessional is that she talked crap about brides, weddings, and events she planned! I should have walked away at that point because its clear she was more judgmental than helpful, But because the companys ratings were good I wanted to see what all of the hype was about, BIG MISTAKE!. Let me say our wedding day was absolutely beautiful but I was concerned about things that were discussed and agreed but never came to fruition. Our centerpieces were just flowers thrown in a vase, no floating candles, no glass beads, and no water as discussed. We specifically asked for 2 round chaffing dishes to match because we only had one. Chrissie agreed to provide two, she came with one round and one rectangular. We hired 3 servers apparently 2 called off, but the one employee brought his girlfriend and best fiend to work. So 2 of the servers we paid for were just random people!!! Periodically through the night they went missing. The food for my cocktail hour was just placed on a table, no napkins, no plates, no serving utensils, and oh yeah the tops were never opened! Water glasses were on all of the tables, with no water in them! We had to hold up the best mans toast for 10 minutes so that we could get water in everyones glass! The archway I asked for, the one in the picture on my proposal apparently never existed, I ended up with a rinky dink one that belongs in someones backyard. Let me say I am very easy going and most of this stuff didnt impact me on our special day. BUT when we brought these issues to Chrissies attention she went ballistic! She was defensive and unprofessional. Telling us our wedding was a disaster! She never even addressed what went wrong let alone offered to compensate us for the things we paid for that we didnt get! Chrissie is arrogant, unprofessional, and I would not recommend that you work with this company on any level! No customer service skills, an awful company to work with!

I first heard of Chrissy and Ideal Design Events through a co-worker of mine who spoke very highly of her. I was in the process of "shopping" wedding planners and added them to the list. At our first meeting I fell in LOVE with both Chrissy and Tom! Not only were they totally down to earth, they are just all around great people. They are real and give it to you straight (no chaser). My now husband and I left the appointment and I said, "we are hiring them, Im done looking." The entire team at IDE is so great to work with. We found our amazing photographer and videographer through Chrissy, she has a great list of vendors to choose from that fit every brides budget. We had our florals done by Dale (who is in the IDE team), and people are STILL raving about how gorgeous all of our flowers were...my bouquet was seriously AMAZING!! Seriously, I would not use anyone else but him! I was a pretty relaxed bride as far as my vision of how I wanted our ceremony and reception space to look. I told Chrissy I just wanted a beachy, but elegant vibe and let her and her team run with it. They blew whatever expectation or vision I had in mind out of the water! She had every detail of our wedding day ironed out flat, it was SO nice waking up Saturday morning and not having to worry about a single thing. She played the bad guy so my husband and I didnt have to. She kept our vendors in line and on schedule (as well as our rowdy groomsmen). Overall, I would hire IDE again in a heartbeat. She was my sanity throughout the entire planning process. My mom lives in Iowa, so was not here to help out in the planning process. Chrissy stepped up and played that roll for me. She answered my calls, emails , text messages at all times of day and night (even while she was on vacation) and constantly reassured me everything was going to be amazing and that "shes got this" and she really did. Our wedding day would have not been what it was without Chrissy and her team.

I seldom write compliments. But I sent Chrissy Craft, Owner and Designer of Ideal Design Events an email asking if she could assist me with decorating a table for The WAY Centers 5th Annual Tea and Fashion Show. Not only did Chrissy provide me with a beautiful centerpiece, tablecloth, napkins, chairs and chair covers. She donated everything with absolutely no charge as a donation to this incredible fundraiser. Her sense of urgency, desire to assist and willingness to go above and beyond is top notch. Chrissy handled my request with dignity and respect. Like a fairy godmother. Chrissy calmly took the reins from my inexperienced planning hands and flawlessly created a gorgeous table setting. She saved me money, time and most importantly, my sanity. Chrissy planned my daughters wedding in 2010, her Baby Shower in 2013 and The WAY Center 5th Annual Tea and Fashion Show in 2016. Small, medium or large venue Chrissy takes on the task with dignity and grace. I cannot recommend Chrissy Craft from Ideal Design Events enough. She was the best decision my daughter made in the wedding planning, second to my daughter saying "Yes" to her husband. Family and friends commented that my daughter was the calmest bride theyve known, and I its because of Chrissy and her attention to detail and plan of action. Thank you Chrissy for everything you have done to make a positive difference to others.

Originally my now husband and I were going to try and plan our wedding ourselves. Little did I know how much detail actually went into a wedding with close to 200 people. We tossed around the idea of possibly getting a wedding planner and I am unbelievably glad we did!!! Chrissy, Tom and the entire Ideal Design Events team far exceeded our expectations! I was blown away by how she turned our ordinary yard into an elegant, romantic, escape. The ambiance from the bistro lighting really set the romance feel I was looking for! Her team worked diligently together to make our dreams come true. I found someone who not only made my childhood fantasy a reality, but I also found a life long friend. Chrissy and I connected on so many levels. I love how organized and detail oriented she is! I am so grateful and Blessed to have had such an Unforgettable wedding. Thank you so much Chrissy, Tom and your team for providing us with your expertise:-)

There are not enough great things to say about Chrissy, Tom, Lorianna, Dale and the rest of the Ideal Design Events team! They listen to your wedding fantasies and do their absolute best to make it become your reality. My wedding was an absolute dream, from the decor to the flowers and everything in between! I wish I could relive that day every day thanks to IDE! I HIGHLY recommend IDE to anyone looking for some guidance, small assistance, or having the pleasure of detailing your wishes and having them come true while you get to sit back and enjoy the process instead of stress over every minute detail. With YEARS of experience, a warehouse FULL of decor (and growing), and a team who puts their heart and soul into every event they plan, IDE is head and shoulders above the rest! You wont be disappointed! I am thankful I get to call them family now!
