Im from the NYC area and first came to The Barbershop because I was stalking Rachael. Let me back up... Having been in the music business my entire life and quite fussy about my hair, I had forever been going to high-priced salons and through great effort getting mostly good cuts. Not wanting to deal with winter last year I came to Florida and timed my tips back north to coincide with my haircuts. At one point I couldnt time a trip back and my hair desperately needing attention, I decided to go to Sportclips Clearwater after reading great reviews of someone named Rachael. So i will skip all the talk about value, the hot towels, etc and stick to the most important item: My haircut was fantastic. With a brief explanation from me as to what i want, she nailed it! After about a half dozen consistently great cuts, she left. Fortunately I was informed that she is now at The Barbershop Largo and after 3 visits there, I assure you, her excellent work continues. She proves that there is absolutely no correlation between price and quality when it comes to hair stylists. ...and today the full circle. I am in the NYC area, hair way to long, timing my trip back to FL to see her. Go with confidence; you will be glad you did!

The Barbershop! How good is it here? I live in Tarpon Springs and drive all the way down whenever I need a haircut, THATS how good! $14, tax included, gets you the best haircut around, a hot towel face treatment, shampoo and conditioner, and a shoulder and neck massage! The shop is clean and stylish, and each chair has its own TV. Ive called on my way down and literally walked in, signed in, and been in the chair moments later. Ive walked in unannounced and been in the chair in less than 5 minutes, and if you DO have to wait a few minutes its no big deal. They have cold bottled water, coffee, and peanuts available while you wait. My only complaint is they dont have a location closer to me. I cant wait until they open a spot somewhere between Clearwater and Palm Harbor! If they did, theyd do a TON of business and Id send EVERYBODY there! By the way, Ive also been to the St Pete location down in the Tyrone area and been treated just as good!

November 2016: the price used to be $12 until a few months ago, then went up to $14. They used to offer a bottle of water while you wait for your turn, but this time they were offering water bottles to everyone after their haircut. Im not sure the rationale behind that. I took my 8 and 10 year old to get haircuts. The 8 year old was not offered the hair wash, hot towel or back massage. The 10 year old and I was offered it. So there was some inconsistency there. It seems they have different people working there everytime I come here. Overall it is a good experience and the hot face towel, hair washing and shoulder massage make it a nice experience you wont get elsewhere.

So I have been cutting my own hair for the last 10 years because of the consistently poor/mediocre experiences Ive had with certain big name hair salon chains. I was doing okay on my own, but I decided it was time to give salons another chance and I found this place on Google Maps and was amazed by all of the reviews. So I made the appointment and I went in. I was not disappointed. Best haircur experience Ive ever had; totally different from what I was used to. Halee was very nice and interested and professional. And the shampoo and massage afterwards made me feel like I was at a spa. Totally redefined what a hair salon should be.

Went here for the first time 2/5/16, I made an appointment and got there about 10 mins early, they took me right away no wait. I had Jacky, I think she said it was her first week. Briefly told her what I wanted and showed her a few pics I took (poorly) of my last hair cut and she nailed it. Also had a great experience. My own personal t.v. A free Shampoo with hot towels on the face with a back massage at the end. It was not super close to where I live but I will be coming here from now on. This place does it right. Thanks guys!

Great place, great stylists. Ive struggled to find a good place that can do a good haircut. Ive learned its not the "place" as much as the "person". My stylist Rick is great at spending enough time to make my difficult hair conform to an actual style. Great fade, and if youre into free stuff: free shampoo and conditioning, free water, free peanuts, free shoulder massage and hot towel for your face if you want it. They have options for beard trimming and lots of other services.

Ive never been to a Barbershop before. Ive always gotten my haircuts done by a family member. This time, I tried out The Barbershop, and I have no regrets. I was nervous and a bit hesitant of having someone else cut my hair. I didnt know how to really explain the exact haircut I wanted. I started explaining and Mo knew exactly what I wanted. She picked right up on the style that I wanted. Edge, taper, fade, whatever it is, Mo knows how to do it. Thanks, Mo! Ill be back.

I was quoted $14 for a standard hair cut on the phone. Twenty minutes into my cut she told me anymore adjustments would cost me twice as much because I spent too long in the chair. But, she found it absolutely NECESSARY to spend 10 mins shampooing and giving me a neck massage. So, needless to say, I left with a very mediocre haircut that I had to fix at home. Next time- spend more time on the hair and less time on my shoulders

Fantastic place to get a nice hair cut. Welcoming staff that greeted me and also on the way out. My barber, Katti, was very friendly, fun to chat with and gave me a smooth hair cut. I was also surprised when she informed me that my hair cut included a washing and shoulder massage, It was strange but I stepped out feeling fresh and smelling good! It was my first visit certainly not my last.

Great place and good ambiance. Been coming for about a year now and this became my place since first visit. You cant beat the value in the area. Only draw back from getting 5 stars is the wait time. It typically takes 30-45 minutes to get seated. Offered a bottle of water while waiting about 20% of the time. Summary: You wont find comparable services and features for the price, period.

Great value here - made an appointment today and was in and out in less than 30 minutes - I do encourage you to make an appointment, these folks seem to be in demand. Very good value for dollar paid - dont bother with the other chains - get your hair cut here, and give the difference to the hardworking staff by way of a tip... just my two cents!
