I had an appointment at 10:30 am on 1/8/16 and I arrived around 10:20 am. When the young scrawny guy behind the counter said how can I help you I said I have an appointment for 4 new tires at 10:30 he said yeah I see ya right here as he looked at his computer. Then says you got some time? Because it will be a few hours before I get ya in. I said my appointment is at 10:30 why would it be a few hours until you start my work. He replies so you dont have time? I said I have time to do 4 tires at 10:30 he said I cant get you in for at least a few hours. I said I cant do that he says (and this is the best part) I can get you an appointment on another day. Really.? Because it seems like you are good at keeping those. I walked out and will be spending my$800+ elsewhere for tires. I have no clue how good their service is but they certainly do not value your time or your money so I cant imagine it is all that good. To the young scrawny guy, your manager should at some point tell you it takes months to gain a customer and seconds to lose one. It was my first trip ever to your store and it will be my last.

Used PepBoys in Merritt Island, FLA, today (28MAY) and give "3" stars. I call @ 0720 for availability of service & tires and they have both. I arrive at 0745 and they say they have six of my F250 Super Duty tires in the computer inventory. 0800, my truck is in the air. One hour into the job to install five tires (includes spare), I overhear the staff discuss w/ea other they dont have all my tires in stock (computer was wrong; staff hadnt updated it). I wait 30min for them to inform me, but they dont so I approach the counter to ask for an ETA on my remaining tires to arrive... The guy didnt seem prepared to answer. By 1000, my tires arrive and they finish the job @ 1045. Not the worst service and theyre friendly, but a waiting customer needs kept in the loop on changes involving extended/undetermined delays. Inventory needs to be updated regularly--thats standard isnt it?

I had a horrible experience with the pep boys in Merritt island FL. I dropped off my car for a brake line repair at 7am and was told I would have an estimate within probably twenty minutes. after 2 hours of no call with an estimate I called them and they said they would call me back twenty minutes later I finally got that call they told me the price which I thought was very high. I told them to go ahead with the work and they said it would take 2 hours. After 3 hours with no call. I called them and they apologized and said it would be another hour. To make a long story short. It took them 11 and a half hours to fix a two foot brake line repair with constant excuses as to what took so long and was charged $276 for the repair. Im disgusted with pep boys and will never use them again.

After having noticing some severe steering issues, I brought my car to Pep Boys. Right off the bat, I liked these guys because they were the only mechanics I called that were willing to both take me in on short notice and not charge me for telling me what the problem was. Well, these guys fixed my car right up within an hour of me bringing it to them, described and showed me what the problem was, and (because it was a quick fix) didnt even charge me. When I tried tipping them for their incredible service, they politely turned the tip down. Quite honestly, this may have been one of the best customer service experiences Ive ever had the pleasure of receiving. I highly recommend these guys :)

Just got off the phone with someone who couldnt give me an appointment, nor tell me when a good time was to come in for an oil change. They also refused to honor the price I HAD BEEN PAYING at this location for an oil change with my own oil and filter (just labor)! It was $10, which was great but apparently they can no longer do it for this price. Never had a problem with this location before they changed management, and they actually did good work. They have lost my business and will not get it back. So much for a price match guarantee, when they cant even match their own price. Completely unacceptable.

I brought my Dodge grand Caravan to Pep Boys in July to have them serviced the brakes and they failed to do I Full brake inspection they replace the front brakes but never told me that the rear brakes were totally shot I got up to Philadelphia Pennsylvania on vacation and had to spend a day at a pep boys up there to have the problem resolved stay away from the store dont get your car serviced there dont get anything down there

They fixed all my problems, i knew something was wrong with my breaks but couldnt find out what it was, my breaks felt softer than normal, i though my breaks were due to be changed. Brought it to the boys and they dissected it beautifully found that there was a part between the lines and the and the pads was about to bust. They swapped it out and got me back on the road within an hour and a half! ^_^

Technicians seemed knowledgeable, but the price was more than I was expecting. Last time I bought a more premium product than I wanted because it was the only one available. I will probably try another place because I cant help but feel like Im not getting a good deal on repairs even though the service is professional. I wouldnt mind coming here for simple jobs like tires or an oil change.

Brought my car in for muffler work and they found and repaired an engine problem, even improvised a way to fix something that wouldve cost 4x as much to replace. Of course I was unhappy with needing the extra work, but it stopped my oil leak and gave me back 7mpg so its going to pay for itself. The guys are good.

They offered a $20 oil change service one weekend, during the oil change they came out and told me they were putting in type y oil instead of type x cause my car was old. I said ok. Then when I go to pay them $20, they tried to charge me $50. I ultimately had to pay $40. Never going back again.

These Pep Boys were very good to me. As a single woman, they were in a perfect position to jerk me around. Instead, they were very honest, and in the end, didnt charge me a dime. I was very favorably impressed, and would definitely recommend them.

First and last time to a Pep Boys for me. As Im asking the associate a question on a purchase, he blows me off in mid sentence to answer his phone. I guess your company is only as good as the people you hire. I walked out and will never go back.
