Back in 2006 there werent many places to work out in Naples and this one was new, clean and air-conditioned. I really liked it back when. These days Naples PF is filled with geriatric crowd along with Caribbean islanders. Great place if you have time to wait, in no rush and can spend few hours a day, and posses a great deal of patience. Flat screen TV that use to be on the walls - gone. Cleanliness is big question. Many folks appear like having no fixed abode and come mostly for shower facility. Noise and people sitting on machines for long periods of time - not a good thing. IMHO, owner really concerned about the profit and nothing else, and by the way, he himself is working out in new hospital owned fitness center close to downtown. I know the fellow, I used to complain to him about lack of cleanliness, lack of TV on the walls and some other things. It is a niche place and surely some would find it appealing. I cant stand places that needs cleaning, or cleaned not that well. Who knows what infection or disease one can pick up. That was main reason I quit. As for everyone else - make your own choice. Imagine a really old and dirty K-Mart, staffed by people who had no interest in working there. That is what you get at this Planet Fitness. It is an awful, dirty, dusty place. The TV are all set to the same channel, and nobody will change anything to accommodate a customer. There are a bunch of dirty old fans above the gym, stirring up a dust that will have your allergies flaring up after 30 minutes. The mood is generally unfriendly. There are some groups speaking Spanish, other groups speaking Haitian, and the majority are elderly people shuffling around and talking to nobody. There is nothing about this location that is positive or uplifting. The only reason anybody comes here is because it is cheap. The shopping center where this Planet Fitness is located looks like it is never cleaned, and there are piles of leaves and garbage all over the parking lot.

This is a horrible place where management cant be reached ever! Charlie loved to Facebook stalk me to hit on me and after I told him I was in a relationship, he took it upon himself to pick at me while I was working out and getting other staff on me if I got a phone call, when I seen 10 to 15 others on their phone, it uncomfortable I went to cancel my membership and they gave me the run around. I get charged a new renewal fee when Ive been trying to get my stuff canceled... They finally canceled me but now refuse to give me the renewal fee back when its not my fault I was harassed by staff. So this place not only makes you uncomfortable but it steals from you too....You think I wouldnt bring it up Charlie! Your screwed... You nasty dirty pervert!

First let me state that the current overall rating posted by many is not inaccurate but the readers need to take into account one very important detail; this is in Naples. Naples holds a high standard for cleanliness and customer service. That said, this is the cheapest gym you can go to that has all the essential things you need, and its open til midnight. Dont expect a lot of fancy machines. Dont expect multiple machines, you may have to call "next". BYOmusic as the music played here is old and repetitive (by old I mean 80s). Avoid early mornings since the place looks like an AARP convention and may discourage you if you are young. Avoid 6pm-730pm as this is the first place people go to when they get off work.

As far as the gym goes you get what you pay for The machines are good and the area is clean When you first go in you it lol small but it actually bigger. As far as the staff goes the only person there who really is nice and friendly is Matt as far as the other staff they dont seem friendly nor interested in even greeting people when they come in I know because I go to the gym 5/6 times a week and Matt has been the only 1 who has said hi and also been so helpful when ever I have problem either in the gym or with my account.

Worst place ever. I just went to take a look, and someone there, idk if the owner or someone else that was at charge was kind of rude to me. The way that he said what he said was not right. I wanted to go ther with some friends and work out, but no anymore. I went out so mad and crying because I didnt like the way they treated me. I dont recommende this place to anyone. Maybe was not a good day for that guy and it was not for me either because of him. Hopefully he is not the owner.

Asked for cancellation of membership, they insisted no refunds. Second month requested cancellation after they charged my account. They said "we can do that for you. no refunds." Just got off the phone with them, this time they said I need to come in.... and after the third month of charging my account no refunds. Not a bad place but whatever you do dont give them access to your account, they will just plain rob you and feign ignorance.

Terrible staff, worse owners, no classes (their unlimited group fitness instruction is nothing more than showing people how the equipment works), no trainers, ridiculous annual fees they dont remind you about (because its in the contract, which Im sure everyone keeps and reads religiously), crappy atmosphere. Be sure to fill up on Tootsie Rolls on your way out. You know a gym is serious business when they have candy on the counter.

Way too small for anyone tryina get a real workout in. Got told I was holding up the smith machine when I stopped using it to change songs.. I was there for about 2 minutes and got 1 set out. Ive been goingto L.A. Fitness since that day. Way better gym and definitely worth my money. P.S. there are no real bench presses so you wont be making any real gains quickly. Those smith machines are bad for your back and shoulders..

Obviously if you have a screen name Thor, you do not belong at Planet Fitness! LOL! No lunk-heads allowed at my gym! Their moto is "no judgement", so Thor, take your judgement somewhere else! Ive been a member for over 5 years, and other than members who dont wipe down equipment, as in all gyms, the gym is clean. I find the staff helpful and friendly, and they just hired a cutie which motivates ME to go to the gym more!

The odds are, if you trip over anything in this gym, it will be some 90 year old fart, laying on the ground. This is the most depressing gym on earth. The average age of the members is 89 or 90. Not very friendly, and nobody to talk to. All the TVs are set to MSNBC and stock market channels. The Staff Members ignore you, or else they just disappear when they see anyone walking towards them.

Went when I was visiting Naples over Christmas. Compared to other PFs, this needs a bit of an upgrade - the décor and some of the equipment feels like it was one of the original franchises and hasnt really been updated since. Still had a good workout and pretty convenient to places in South Naples.
