Let me first say there are three barbers in this shop. Do not go to the elderly barber at the far back if you choose to come here. All three chairs were busy when I arrived last week. I was next customer up and two others came in after me. The old barber finished first and the owner directed me to that chair. I simply requested a trim as we were going out of town and I wanted to look nice.. When I got home I checked the back of my head, which I found was scalped 2-3 inches above the hairline on one side and I had large red irritation patches on the bare skin of my scalp from his shears . A week later and they are still visibly red on the back of my head. I went back to the shop immediately but the owner was not there. The younger barber did his best to try and blend the side that was not scalped with the side that was. I appreciated that but my hairline in back is 2 inches higher than it should be. Im embarrassed to go out in public because frankly it looks like a ten year old trimmed my hair with his $10 dog shears. The owner has to take responsibility for the barbers in his shop, especially when he directed me to that barber. I will not go back. If you go, I strongly recommend that you avoid the elderly barber in this shop.

This place is awesome! Great environment, great barbers, and the best haircuts Ive gotten in the Port Orange/Daytona area for the past 3 years. Not only that, but theyre very efficient with their time- no more waiting 45 min-1 hour for my turn and then another 45 min-1hour to cut my hair; I rarely have to wait at all, and theyre done in ~25-35 min, 40 tops. And to finish it off, they have great rates- only $15 for a regular adult cut (as a poor graduate student, this was huge!). This place is unbeatable, and has the greatest barber in the Voulsia county, Frenchie!!! Ive been following this guy since I first discovered him when he worked at Big Tree, and Wicked Cuts after that; its safe to say that hes perfected the ideal environment I look for in a barber shop- friendly and open people in a classic style barber shop run by passionate and experienced professionals. The guy has truly perfected his craft, on top of being a great person whos genuinely into how your day/week/life in general is going; not enough people like this guy, and his coworkers are exceptionally skilled as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Tl;Dr Great haircut at a steal of $10, the cut was worth $20-30. His skill in shaping was undeniable. He gave the perfect cut for the subject in front of him. He knows what hes doing! We arrived to see a Dr. Appointment sign and decided to grab lunch and return. We came back around the time the sign said Don would be back. We were greeted by his lovely wife and had a chat about the Barber industry and how it is a dying skill. Not to long later Don arrived and so did the crowd behind us. There was one guy in front of us but the wait was worth it. It was very entertaining to watch Don swiftly cut and shave a very well shaped haircut. Im amazed at how fantastic the cut looked on my boyfriend. We didnt have a real idea of what we wanted just for it to be shorter. You can tell he works way to hard. We commented to each other how he has a 15 minute lunch and how he really loves what he does. Hes a hard working man and his years at the trade show in his work.

Frenchie and his team of barbers are Great! This is the place to go if your looking for the classic old school style feel! Looking through the comments I see that someone said they do not trim beards, that statement is totally false! I have known Frenchie from before he opened his own shop, at the shop I wont mention I went to him to for the first time I purposely waited for him because he was the only barber with a beard. He cut my hair and trimmed my beard. When he told me about opening his own shop I purposely waited till that happened so I could get a good hair cut a beard trim. When he opened his store I went in got my hair cut and beard trimmed. There are times that I go in just for the beard trim and not a hair cut!

I googled "REAL barber" while in Port Orange. Dons shop came up and I went to get a hair cut. I am GLAD I did! This is one of those REAL barber shops where you can get a hair cut, shave, etc... by someone who knows what they are doing and has done it for a good amount of time.You also cannot cant bet the price and quality service! Don has great stroies and insights about the area and a great personality to match. You have to visit Dons shop or you will miss out on CLASSIC barber shop service, This was my first time there, but it will not be my last.

The barber shop wasnt very busy. Only waited 15 minutes. The old man was pleasant, professional, and talkative. He fixed me up before a New Years Key West trip and I left feeling brand new! This was a very refreshing experience compared to some other, more urban barber shops I have been to. I will definitely be returning very soon to keep it tightened up!

Ive been in Port Orange for 2 years searching a good old-fashioned barber shop. I finally found that with Don. I knew when I walked in and heard Elvis playing on the radio and FSU football on the TV I had found my new barber. Don gives a great haircut to your exact request and the price and conversation is great too! Thanks, Don!

Clearwater Game Changers

Multiple barbers, so the wait time isnt long at all. Very skilled barbers that all take their take to focus on their clients. I was super nervous coming here the first time, but never regretted it all. I highly recommend this shop for anyone whos looking for a clean cut done by barbers who has great customer service.

With over 60 years of experience, Don certainly knows what he is doing. He can give you a great haircut, and pretty damn fast too. Hes also great with the straight razor. The shop itself is open and welcoming, and theres free beers to have while you wait. Ill be going back the next time I need a trim.

Excellent old fashioned barber shop. Don has been in the business for a long time and does great work on all types of hair cuts. Can cut to your likes. Friendly and full of stories. Easy parking and usually short waits. Still uses a razor around your ears.

Welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The staff are very experienced and knowledgeable. My son has thick curly hair they lined him up and gave him a wicked fade!! Definitely the best place around and has earned my business for years to come.

I finally found Don about 4 years ago and sure glad I did. He gives the best cut in town and has a real mens barber shop like in the old days with a real barber chair. Not like those unisex shops. For only $10 its the best deal in town.
