I am newish to the area and needed a hair cut. I went to the Carolina Barber shop and Joe cut my hair. I must conceed that it was the worst hair cut Ive ever had in my life. I gave simple guidance; 3 on the sides and a trim on top. Ive been saying this to barbers for years. As if there was a long line and he needed to hurry, Joe chopped at my hair with such speed he was nearly dropping the scissors. He took out huge chuncks with the clippers from on top that will take months to grow back and the straight razor; he left a bloody ear and a sore neck for nearly 4 days. Now, Im no hair snob, but i know a crap hair cut when it happens, and this was the worst, and most exspensive, ive ever had. My wife was in tears of laughter, at my exspense, when I got home. I shouldve known when the tissue around my neck was a cheap bathroom paper towel. Retire or act like you care about your patrons Joe! Ill try my luck elsewhere.

From what I remember the price of a hair cut here is $15 and I always tip my barber an extra $2 just to be courteous. That being said, I went there and gave the barber simple instructions for how I wanted my hair cut. He did not give the zero fade I asked for and instead shaved off my widows peak. He did cut my hair very fast however, if that is important for you. $17 is the most I have paid for a hair cut and that fact that it turned out bad and the barber was not friendly did not help either. Much less to say I will not be returning here. I know a lot of people who have had success here. I am not one of them.

This is exactly what a barbershop should be. The best place to go period. The people are great, prices are always lowest around and always some good conversation. I love most that they remember everyone that comes in and if your in a hurry, you can surely get an in & out if needed. I recommend 110%!

Ive lived in Michigan, Columbia, Louisville, and Omaha in the last 6 years. There was one place in Louisville that came close to doing as good of a job cutting my hair as this shop. I made a trip back to Columbia while living in Louisville and I made sure to stop in for a hair cut. Im glad Im back.

I have been going there for close to a year now. They do a great job. I even take my boys there now. This has become one of our favorite spots and I always recommend anyone if they want a good haircut. Nice, clean atmosphere. Excellent professional staff! The best-looking haircut Ive ever gotten.

Never had Joe cut my hair but the lady that cuts hair there does a very nice job. However, Joe smokes inside like a chimney. If you dont like smoke, dont go. The first time I went there my wife asked me if I went to a bar because my clothes reeked so badly of smoke.

Carolina Barber Shop can be relied on for a good haircut from a friendly staff. Their operating hours however should be considered suggestions. Sometimes they close early if its slow. They also do not accept credit or debit cards.
