My son attended Green Acres for three months before I was told that the day care was not suited for him for he is not like the other children. My son is 2 1/2 and in speech and has trouble with comprehension. He is a good kid and very loving, but he is not social and does not participate in the games and activities they had. He liked to play in the dirt outside instead of the sand box and didnt want to socialize with the other children so therefor he had to go. He loved his school. Was always excited in the morning to go and liked his teachers. But since he was not up to par with the other children he was asked to leave. No matter how Mrs.Lisa sugarcoated it by saying "I just think youre paying too much money for him not to participate and I think he needs someone better to suite him." It didnt matter she still said he had to leave. She also stated that something was seriously wrong with his development and that I should take him to a pediatric developmental specialist. Well I have an appointment set up. I also have occupational therapy starting up, but was that enough ? No. It would be one thing if my child was horrible and disruptive, but no he just is behind. My heart has never been broken so much than right now. He is two and is already facing obstacles that other children dont have to. Now I have to get him adjusted to another school and new teachers. I know this is long, but basically what Im saying is that if your child is not on the same exact scale as others do not bring them here. Being different is not accepted. I didnt see this coming at all, but its for the best because anyone who doesnt want to be around my child doesnt deserve to.

Green Acres Childcare is the best childcare center I have ever worked at! I have worked for this center for the past 7 years as a lead teacher and active director. We try our hardest to provide quality childcare as well as inform parents of any concerns that we may have with their childs development socially, cognitively and physically. We are not licensed to diagnose any children. What we do is give support and resources to try as many different options to help ALL children succeed at our center. If they cannot be successful here we refer to other types of childcare that can best meet that childs needs. I would recommend this center to everyone because we are true to our mission and believe every child needs the nurturing love our center provides.

I currently have my 21 month old at this school in their toddler program....14 years after I had my first one there! My oldest daughter spent 5 years with Country Acres / Green Acres Childcare Center(s)....we absolutely LOVE this place!! If all goes according to plan, my youngest daughter will spend the next 4 years here...all the way through the FREE VPK! The teachers are warm, caring, and very diligent in communicating the details about her day, good and even the not-so-good sometimes. I like knowing when I pick her up, rather than worry and wonder later. If youre looking for a trustworthy place for your little ones to spend these precious years learning and laughing, dont overlook this hidden gem.
