Joe is the man, and is living his dream. Ive known him for a few years from letting him cut my hair. His dream was to open up his own shop, which has now been a dream come true. I never really set an appointment with anyone specific because ALL the barbers at EMPIRE have so much talent. So with my busy schedule I just usually go in as a walk in and come out with a 5 star haircut. I also recently had them do a straight razor shave on me, which was awesome as well. The environment is always full of energy and the barbers are always talking about something thatll make you laugh. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxed environment, no crazy prices, and a fresh clean cut.. . ohhh and on weekends they may just offer you coffee and bagels. I do recommend calling ahead as they can get extremely busy. Thanks Joe, and to your entire crew.

Its a little unassuming at first, just a barber shop in a strip mall. I have been going to Gonzos sandwich shop right next door for a few years and decided to check it out today. I am very glad I did! Every chair except one was filled when I walked in so I was seated right away. There was a steady stream of customers the whole time. That tells you something right there. Everything about Empire is great. The attention to detail, the sounds of a true barbershop (not a salon), the bantering back and forth about a host of issues including the presidents speech on TV. My barber really made sure that I got the cut and beard trim that I wanted. I will definitely be coming back! Great job fellas!

the best experience that I have had in a barbershop in the Tampa bay area I had the pleasure of having my haircut by the barber named Joe he was very professional his haircut was one of the best that I have had in my life this place made me feel at home this is a very professional ran barbershop this is a place where you can bring you wife and kids while I was there I learned that they also have a hair stylist on staff I would recommend my wife to come here just as would recommend anyone to come to this establishment and I would highly recommend Joe as a barber he gave me a phenomenal haircut

Went in for a trim and got a full hair cut instead (got charged for a full haircut too, so he knew what he did). Guy who gave me a haircut did a good job, but was definitely not what I wanted. Now have to wait a few months for it to grow out again, pretty annoyed about that. Also, what place in 2017 still only takes cash? Had to walk across the street to get to an ATM to pay. Bottom line, if youre a guy with short hair who goes in to maintain their hair line, then great place. Otherwise, stay away.

The men that operate this shop are professional, open, and have the classic skills to deliver modern day style. They deliver that cut that will leave you feeling proud and confident. They take pride in their craft and are proficient in providing any style for any ethnicity. I would recommend Empire to the individual traveling and looking for a prominent establishment. Theyre minutes away from the TPA airport and Downtown area.

Was in the area looking for a barbershop, google suggested empire so I thought hey why not. I was looking to get a buzz cut and beard trimmed. Mind you a beard is a very delicate situation. I was greeted by Ali and a few other barbers, which they had beards themselves. Friendly and family atmosphere. Has about 7 chairs. I sat down with Ali and told him what I wanted. After all was said and done I was satisfied. I will be going back.

I have been going to Joe for about 5 years, but all the barbers are good. This is rare to find in Tampa. Every time I go I am highly satisfied with my haircut. I am black, but they do well with all hair types. This is a shop that if you blink you will miss, but you will be hate that you did. I am a weekly visitor to Empire. Check it out

Ali has been my Barber for 4 years now and i wouldnt go to anyone else. Hes the owner so youll see him soon as you come in. Hes not one of these yes men barbers, hell straight up tell you if somethings not going to look good on you. Never left this place not looking fresh as hell. Best Barber in the Bay

How can u not give this place 5 srars. The entertainment alone from the barber shop banter is worth 5 stars alone. Al has been cutting my hair for 10+ years, wont go anywhere else.
