Tim is an upstanding guy and his shop reflects this. Being new to the Tampa area finding a mechanic seems like a daunting task, but fortunately I found this place! The rest of the staff is also great. Friendly and knowledgeable. Tim checked my car on a Friday evening before they were going to close and deemed it unsafe to drive. He made sure I had a plan to get home before closing up and did what he could to help, as I live 2 and a half hours away right now and commute to Tampa a couple days a week. That speaks to his customer service and quality of work. I waited to bring my car to him knowing hed get the job done at the best price he could. When I went to pick up my car and it wasnt quite ready, he had one of his guys drive me to work because it was my first day at a new position. He is so considerate and always ready to help! I had to take an uber back to pick up the car that evening and he reimbursed me for the fare. I wish I could take him with me as my mechanic wherever I move to in my life! So grateful and great work. IF you need a mechanic who is honest and does an awesome job - this is the place to go, hands down.

Hey, my girlfriend called today 11/23/2016 because her car was stranded. She had planned to bring it to this shop due to the reviews. Some guy named "John" was REALLY RUDE to her. He said its the day before Thanksgiving and he was the only one in the shop. He put her on hold twice, she called back a third time and asked that he please not put her on hold. John said, "Its RUDE for you to be calling ME telling me not to put you on hold when I have 3-4 customers waiting in line." My girlfriend replied, "Sorry, youre having a bad day." And he retorted, "No maam Im not. Im having a great day, you are just so freaking damn rude you dont know how to wait. Now if you need assistance, you stay on hold and you WAIT!" My gf hung up. I guess you guys make enough money you are NOT seeking any new customers. Johns lack of professionalism, and incompetence in customer service says a lot about your company. Glad were not investing our money in this shop. TIP: Better train your employees and if hes the owner take some classes on how to better treat your customers.

I dont normally leave reviews but felt I had to after my sons experience with Quality Automotive. My son bought a aftermarket exhaust for his 2005 Acura RSX. After spending a few hours helping him install it we found the fit was less the perfect. It hung down way to low under the car and the rear of the exhaust was melting the bumper. I spoke with Tim the owner and let him know my sons issue. I told him my son was spending his own money and if he could help. He assured me he could and he would take care of my son. My son made the appointment for Saturday morning and met with Tim. Not only did Tim do a GREAT job, but it was for less than we expected! This type of service is very hard to find these days and I will highly recommend anyone to Quality Value Automotive Repair.

One of the best places to take your car to in the Bay Area if its broke its one of the few places you can actually get a free estimate. Their prices are reasonable their mechanics are great I wouldnt take my car anywhere else Ive been taking my car there for several years since they have opened. Their work comes with a one-year warranty and they honor it. The owner is very honest and trustworthy and very loyal to his customers. There arent many repair shops with this type of loyalty anymore. This is one of the few places I recommend to all my friends to go and get work done on their car or truck. They can do anything from a custom exhaust package to changing your motor.

Im new to Tampa and a student at USF. Unlike some students, I dont have a ton of money to throw around. Quality Value Automotive Repair was great. They were fast, friendly, did a great job and were AFORDABLE... I think I probably saved $150, plus, it was right next to campus. I had an excellent experience, I saved money, and was in and out the door. The manager was a friendly guy, and I know who my new mechanic is. Thank you for excellent service, kindness and your affordability. I came in for brake and oil service, and I do know a thing or two about cars, so I aprechiate that the manager didnt try to pull a fast one. I highly recommend this local car shop by campus.

I was so worried when my car started giving me issues. I did not have a mechanic and did not know where to start. One of my friends recommended Quality Value Automotive and boy I sure am glad that I took my car there! Not only were they super fast and efficient they were amazingly nice and most of all grest prices. I had a catalytic converter replaced and under 24 hours my car is driving better than ever! I thank Tim the manager and everybody that worked on my car. I am highly impressed and needless to say found my new mechanic. I too would highly recommend anybody that needs their car worked on to please check them out, you will not be disappointed!

I have a V6 2006 Sonata. I visited this shop yesterday and they gave me a free estimate for A/C repair. I think their estimate was fair. also the inspection could cost me 160$ in dealership, or 69$ in Sears. For another work ( spark plug replacment), they gave me a quote which was cheaper compare to two other shops which I went before. they recommend not to change the spark plug and instead, clean the Mass Air Flow sensor. I cleaned it myself and it really solved the problem. The guy in front desk was friendly and I would highly recommend this repair shop. ( in fact I did recommend it to one of my friends already for a strut repair! )

I have been there 3 times. The first time I had a coupon for a 12 dollar oil change, which they honored despite the fact that I accidentally left it at home. The second time I had a tranny slipping and they referred me to a shop that did a decent job at an affordable price. The 3rd time, I had an appointment at 230, showed up for it and was told that they were running a little behind that day and it would be 45 minutes or so, it actually took closer to an hour+ but as an apology for running late they didnt charge me a cent. So every time I have been there I have been very satisfied.

Best mechanic hands down. Upfront, honest, timely. Tim gave me quotes over the phone, which no other shop was willing to do without me bringing my car to them. On the two occasions that I had work done, I was charged LESS than I was quoted based on the actual work done...which says a lot since the quotes were very reasonable to begin with. I may have been lucky, but I was always accommodated quickly and the job completed without delay. Quality-wise, its all in the name, seriously. Every time I have car trouble, I wish I still lived in Tampa so I could have some peace of mind.
