Bad barber, not shop…(read all) I have never been to this shop before but I went because of the ratings. To be fair, I blame the barber no the shop, so I may give another barber a chance. The barber who helped me is the Asian lady in the first chair to the left. Sorry I did not catch her name. She asked what I wanted and one thing I asked for was to make it short around the ears and back but just on the edges. I even moved my hand in the areas that was to be cut that way. She proceeded to cut straight across my sideburns (I have a full beard). She then said that my beard no longer matches my hair. I am not sure how long you have to be cutting hair to ask the customer is that what he meant before cutting it? I asked her if she can please blend it and now I have no sideburns. I had a cowlick sticking up in the front when she said she was done and I asked her to wet it so I can see the length. Instead, she wrapped a hot towel around my face. After I pulled down the cowlick to make sure it was even, she asked if I wanted product and I said yes I want gel. She grabbed the pomade and added away. At that point I needed to leave. Obviously the communication was broken and damage was done. I really didn’t know the extent until I got back to work. The cut is not terrible, but I shouldnt be missing side burns. Every barber should know to trim around facial hair. At least stop and verify that is what was asked for.

I have gone to this place for nearly a year and I have yet to get a haircut without problems. I dont know why I keep going here. I have asked numerous times to have the hair "just touching the ears". Somehow this request gets translated to "just shave above the ear" therefore making a small 1/2 inch sliver of very short hair before going to the more thicker part of the hair on the sides. It resembles a partial small bowl cut near the ears. I have also asked numerous times to taper in the back and they just block it off. Next time I said "taper in the back so that it blends in" what I get is a blocked back with a little fading. Ive never seen this before in all my years of getting hair cuts and it looks strange. If your hair grows uneven in the back you want it to fade in or tapered so that when it grows more the hair length is more uniform rather than when it is blocked off to a straight line. For $18 haircut without tip, Id think they would know the basics of cutting hair. There are probably good barbers there who mostly are used by appointment and probably make the name for the place. Dont expect to get someone with basic knowledge if you just walk in and take someone. I will probably be going elsewhere simple because of the cost and hiring people who dont have the skill or knowledge.

From the moment you walk in the door the experience is amazing. Everyone dressed up, wearing collared shirts slacks and suit vests. Its like stepping back in time, back to a day when doing a job was more than just a paycheck, but something you take pride in. While I dont have much hair and usually get a short cut with clippers, those of you in the same boat as me are familiar with the stragglers that get left behind by most shops, the hairs in the back of your head, that once you notice them, stick out like a sore thumb. The barber took the time to make sure the hair and beard were cut thoroughly and neatly, with a hot towel and a shave with hot cream and a straight blade on the back of my neck, to leave a crisp polished look. At this point I was completely satisfied with my haircut thinking he was finished, but he the offered to trim my eyebrows, I didnt even know this was an option, but he trimmed them up making those neat and crisp as well. Now typically when you get service like this you are expecting a high price tag, I probably would have gotten out the door about $2 cheaper at SuperCuts getting JUST a haircut! I saw the credit card receipt with the final bill on it, and for one of the few times in my life, the tip line didnt seem like just a guilt trip.

The best place in North Atlanta. I came to Atlanta about four years ago and have always tended to get "last minute" haircuts, so I would regularly go between the closest place I could find and the cheapest. This is the first place that has consistently had the best haircuts and also, it's amazingly cheap! All haircuts are less than $20, and the wait time has never been long. I have been going there for about a year now and unless something major happens, I won't be going anywhere else. At first, I liked Cindy, and stuck with her, but one day she wasn't there, so I just had the first available person, and they did a great job. From then, I thought I'd try a new person each week and found that every barber there is great! (and very pleasant to talk to). Also, I forgot to mention the shave and hot towel experience; I was surprised when they just started shaving my neck and then put a hot towel around my head, but it is one of the best parts of the haircut. Best place to go to. Yes! Yes! Yes!

I had an appointment around 3 with Suni about a couple weeks ago and as soon as I walked in no one greeted me after 5 minutes of waiting a receptionist approached me and asked if I had an appointment i said yes so she just walked away with out saying anything. After 10 minutes of waiting for my appointment one of the barbers approached me which was a girl named Suni at the end of the service I was very unpleased with the haircut definitely not what I wanted I wanted to keep length!. After the bad quality haircut as I was waiting to pay I had to wait another 5 minutes just to pay because it looked like she was in the back having a great time while people were in the front waiting to pay I was very mad at this point so I asked what was her name and she said it was Gia. Honestly its been depressing seeing how low this business has gone the attention to customer service sucks after coming here for 3 years I feel like its time to find myself a new barbershop now knowing they can care less for customer service.

Comfortable waiting area, with 2 big screen tvs (nice if theres a wait - which there usually isnt) This is one of the only places Ive found who can truly cut a flat top - not just the place, actually just one guy (I think) his name is Chowman and hes very professional, very focused and did ask me what kind of hair cut I wanted. He seemed a little surprised that I wanted a flat top as my hair while not shoulder length or anything, was not even close to being a grown out buzz cut. After making sure I knew what I wanted, he went to work quickly and efficiently and finished up with hot shave cream and a straight razor around the back of my neck and sides of my head. They do offer a hot shave for your face here as well although I havent tried it yet - I probably will on my next visit. I havent had my hair cut by anyone else here so cant speak about all of their barbers but they are usually busy and most of the men I saw leave seemed pleased. I will be returning to get my spring/summer flat top touched up.
