Very nice as expected for the price. In summary: The staff provides excellent service with attention to details to make special occasions extra special. The atmosphere is pleasant and classy, although noisier than I would expect - a problem exaggerated by the elongated booth we sat at. The food is excellent (although a little pricy as everything is À-la-carte) with great wine at a reasonable price (on weekends when it is half off). Service: Ill start off by mentioning the impeccable service even before you are seated. Went there with my parents to celebrate their anniversary and the host presented my mother with a rose which was a special start to the evening and it concluded with a surprise when our dessert arrived. The staff provides you with service as you would expect from a high class restaurant (pulling out the booth table or chairs when seated, multiple people tending to your table, etc.) They mange to do all this while not being too intrusive. While the service was not perfect (had to make a refill request to two different servers) this was only a minor hiccup in what was otherwise exceptional service. Atmosphere: The restaurant has a lovely and classy atmosphere. The tables are well placed, spread out just enough that you and the waiters can move around without the guests being disturbed. The one detraction of the evening was that the restaurant was a little noisy - a problem that was exacerbated by the elongated booth we sat at. Although Im thinking the tables would not have the same problem, the booth was long enough that people on the opposite ends could hardly hear each other. Food: The lobster bisque was the best Ive ever had. Im not a huge fan of lobster by itself, but with bisque it is excellent. The broth had the perfect consistency and taste with it not being too overwhelming with lobster taste on its own (which was good for me). If you are a lobster lover who wants tons of lobster in their bisque, then this may not be the one for you; however there was more than just a dash of lobster meat - enough that it should satisfy most people. Their steaks are also very good, having a seasoning that compliments the natural steak flavor. I will say their steaks are not the most tender Ive ever had; however, they are worthy of being known as a restaurant for a good quality steak. They even have a 54oz rib eye for 2 if you dare (though I opted for a filet over this). With everything being À-la-carte, the side dishes are not included - thus raising the price if everyone gets their own. The sides are meant for two people (and can realistically feed 1.5 hungry people). Im not really a fan of the sides for two since usually everyone in my family likes something different. Their desserts were also excellent with a wide variety sure to appeal to every taste. Their chocolate cake was impeccable being not too heavy, not too light, and perfectly moist. Their chocolate peanut butter pie was also good being slightly lighter than the cake for those who are already fairly full from the meal. I would rate 4.5 stars if I could - an excellent place to go although I unfortunately cant rate it a perfect 5.

Went to Cabernet for lunch today...VERY disappointing. First of all, after taking our drink orders, it must have been 15 minutes or more before we saw our server again (someone else dropped off our drinks). We had the lobster tail appetizer to start; honestly, it seemed more on par with the quality youd expect at Captain Ds than at a fine dining establishment. They were served with potato chips... For entrees, we had the Mahi Mahi and shaved Prime Rib sandwiches. The Mahi Mahi was a tiny filet and absolutely smothered in a mayonaise based sauce--even once I scraped it from the bun, it was still overpowering due to the excessive amount--all in all, not good. The Prime Rib sandwich was the only part of the experience which was acceptable; it was tasty--not melt in your mouth delicious or anything, but tasty nonetheless. Both sandwiches were served with the same mediocre potato chips that the lobster tails were served with. After our meal, I used the restroom to find the most unimpressive fixtures I have EVER encountered in a nice restaraunt; the trough sinks at Chilis are nicer. The counters are covered in laminate...and the sinks seem to be the most reasonable you could find at Home Depot. Finally, it came time to settle up...or so we thought; after waiting AT LEAST 15 minutes, I walked my card to our server myself. Bear in mind, we arrived at 1:00 for lunch--it was NOT particularly busy. SO, heres how I rate it: Food: mediocre at best Value: poor Service: deplorable Amenities: cheap

I was sorely disappointed with this so called upscale destination restaurant. Overpriced food. I am a person who believes that you get what you pay for. Not so at Cabernet. I ordered a 10 oz New York strip steak. This entree came with your choice of salad (mixed greens or Cesar salad) I was served a small saucer of dry lettuce (where are the tomatoes, cucumbers or salad dressing) I mean who cannot fix a decent salad. Okay I overlooked the salad and was anxiously awaiting my steak. When it finally arrived I could not believe what was on my plate. First they didnt let the steak rest after cooking so there was plate full of liquid before I even cut into my so called medium cooked steak which was tough and chewy. Oh lets not forget the spoonful of runny garlic mashed potatoes that was swimming in the juices from my steak. I paid $34.95 for this under seasoned overcooked steak and runny garlic mashed potatoes. I wish I had gone to Longhorn. This experience made me realize just because a restaurant is described as upscale doesnt mean the food is upscale or the speed at which you are served. The only thing I enjoyed was our waiter who made the long wait for our food enjoyable. I would not recommend this place and I definitely would not eat there again.

Weve been going to Cabernet for family celebrations for years. Its one of our favorite restaurants, its delicious, and we always receive excellent service. However, our last visit was not very pleasant. Our waiter acted like he did not want to serve us. When our food arrived, he never asked if we were enjoying it, he RUSHED us, took our plates without asking if we were finished, made sarcastic comments about our meal questions, and insulted our payment method. We had a large table reserved, and when we asked for separate checks he seemed to have a problem with it. As I stated earlier, Cabernet is one of our favorite places. The rest of the staff was cordial, but next time we return, IF we decide to, I expect to feel welcomed, not like a stain on a crisp white table cloth. Very upsetting since we love this place so much. The food was amazing as usual, which is why this review gets at least, 2 stars.
