I fed my 3-month old daughter at Kennesaw Barber Shop Saturday without a cover. I showed no more skin than is visible in a low cut shirt, and when I have breastfed in this position before people have commented that they couldnt even tell she was eating. After a conversation with the owner, I asked for clarification for whether or not they want to do business with women who choose to nurse without a cover. Here is their answer, for your information: In response to your request for clarification on our position regarding breastfeeding: We do haircuts. We are a family owned business, serving a family oriented, suburban community. The majority of our clientele have children, though a growing percentage of our clientele are college students. As you recognized, we were very busy, as we expected to be on the last Saturday before Christmas. You also must have noticed how small our waiting area is. We have on average 10- 20 men at a time on busy Saturdays in the chairs and waiting area. Breastfeeding is natural, and supported by all of us. You made a point to mention you are involved with breastfeeding education, so you are aware it can be controversial in settings like this. Without cover, it becomes awkward for men. . Since you are involved in helping new mothers learn to breastfeed, maybe you could help them understand situational awareness, i.e. be considerate of others in the area. Before you take to social media to condemn us, please understand we are not hateful- we are barbers who do men’s haircuts. It really is that simple. Breastfeeding is healthy and beneficial, and we would not ask you or anyone to stop. There are a range of options for nursing mothers: and a huge difference between being “anti-breastfeeding” and being considerate of others while nursing. In a small room, the men waiting for haircuts deserve to be comfortable also. It is considerate to bring a cover. Exposed breasts are not what our clientele expect to see while they wait for a haircut

This barber shop opened up around 2012 by a family of barbers who have been cutting hair for almost a century. For the past few years it has been a simple little barber shop that offered no frills cuts and shaves at a price that was competitive to supercuts. The barbers always run their mouths and talk trash unremorsefully (never politically correct), but its never ill-intended, and you know theyre just busting each others chops. Since my last visit, it has undergone extensive renovation and now when you walk in you might wonder if youve walked into a fancy hotel! Im very happy with the changes. Before, all the awkward, sparse baseball themed decorations made it look like they were trying a little too hard to portray themselves as casual barber shop for the average guy. But now it feels like a real Park Avenue ready establishment that is warmly lit and the barbers are well dressed and groomed. With the move towards luxury service, comes an increase in prices across the board. Mens cuts are up 30%, the student discount is gone, and of course... American Express still isnt welcomed here. I remarked that I usually got my hair cut at a barber shop in Marietta, but that I needed a cut on short notice and couldnt get an appointment in that day. The barber told me to go back to that barber shop with a rude message and some profanity for the owner. It was uncalled for, and the owner of the marietta shop had nothing bad to say about the Kennesaw Barber Shop. You can be a real man and still respect your customers and competitors. The new prices arent unreasonable, but if youre moving up a tier in price, you have to move up a tier in service.

Oh my goodness... This is the best haircut of my life. This is not an exaggeration. Immediately when I walked in I was greeted by so many people. It wasnt a pretentious hi but a genuinely heart warming welcome. Then a lovely lady who is just so kind and amazing named Kathie asked me if I wanted a cappuccino. Of course I accepted. I felt like I was with my family. I have had haircuts all over the country and visited every barbershop and high end salon in Kennesaw. I dont want to be negative but none of them even compare. Other than Kennesaw Barbershop, they all succeeded in giving me an average or below average haircut. I am of Indian origin (from India but born here) so my hair is different. Kennesaw Barbershop exceeded my expectations. Andrew did an outstanding job. He gave me a GQ haircut. My neighbor was like Whoa....Vinod.... you look like a model. Come here and get Andrew, who is a Master Barber, to cut your hair. This is an amazing experience. I will be moving to North Decatur soon but I will be driving here for my haircuts. Vinod

In 2009, the missus and I bought a house in Acworth (Were on the boarder, and thus have two addresses, Acworth & Kennesaw). To be honest, to me, Acworth was in the sticks. We used to live in Atlanta, two minutes from Chastain park. Seriously, we could listen to ALL concerts from our balcony! Anyway, now were in AcworthKennesaw, it was difficult finding a decent barbershop. Im particular about my hair cuts, and need to have a GQ look, at least every two weeks. After a bit of Googling, and a phone call, I went to try Kennesaw Barber Shop. Lets just say, it was the best experience ever, and Jon did a good job of welcoming a new customer! Kennesaw Barber Shop, has a family feel. This starts with it being a family owned business, and the employees that keep coming back. This is all in addition to them treating each customer, as family. They know the customers by first name, when they come in! Impressive, no? This also shows the regularity, of customers. If youre in the area and need a brilliant hair cut, Id highly recommend Kennesaw Barber Shop!

Went to get my hair braided by a girl named Emmy .. she charged me $100 for big box braids, my hair is short so big braids were not the best route. Two days after the braids were completed, they started to slip out of my hair due to her not attaching the hair at the root correctly. I informed her of this problem and then it got worse and more braids started slipping out. She assured me that she would rebraid my hair for free but then at the last minute, she began texting me acting as if we didnt just have the conversation about the redo and telling me that I needed to buy the hair for the redo. 9 outta 10 she was going to demand I pay for the redo as well. Never had such a terrible experience with getting my hair braided but I will never be going here AGAIN. You get wat you pay for, and I paid to have my hair fall out.

Went here to try and find a new place to get my hair cut. Ive been to many super cuts, great clips, great super sport clip cuts and still couldnt find somewhere that would be consistent. I might get a great cut elsewhere and then have a hack job the next go around. Ever since my last few visits to Kennesaw Barber, I will never take a risk anywhere else. The staff was friendly, the line was nonexistent and the hair cut was phenomenal. The prices were only very slightly higher than a franchise store, and yet I would pay that premium over again in a heartbeat. Let this shop treat you right and I know youll be just as pleased as I have continued to be!
