As a Residential Real Estate Investor and Property Manager its important that our business hire companies that are readily available, reliable, reasonably priced and efficient. Jons team meets all of our criteria. When I call or email Jon hes usually on site within 24 hours, but often times less! So far we have used Shockley Electric on 5 homes that we are flipping for resale, and we plan to continue our business relationship. Jon always makes sure that our office staff are well informed about issues that he uncovers and the best way to solve them. Its not always easy to work for a company where approval for work has to pass through a chain of command, but Jon handles it all beautifully and tops it off with a detailed invoice of the work performed, including materials, hourly rate, etc. What speaks the loudest is that Jon is honest. Recently we accidentally ordered an electric stove to replace a gas stove, and instead of dealing with a return I asked Jon to install a 220V outlet. He visited the property the next day and quickly informed me that he would have to run all new electrical for the outlet, including adding a breaker in the (inaccessible) panel. It turned out that a new stove would cost less than the new electrical (for this particular job), so we made the exchange and saved a lot of money at Jons own expense. Shockley Electrics integrity in business will certainly keep us coming back for more!

Shockley was my electrician on a three month, $500K commercial remodel. The remodel took place within an open and occupied office. John worked well with all of the subs and is still loved by the office staff. My project came in on time and in budget. I plan on having work done on my house this year. Shockley will be my electrician. Christian Shockley is the ONLY electrician you will ever need!! Master of his Trade is an understatement! He was very prompt and detailed in his quote for the work we needed, which was quite extensive. He responded quickly to all my emails. He arrived as scheduled and completed the work in 2 days as estimated. He was very professional and personable while in our home. The BEST part is he SAVED us hundreds of dollars on the list of work we needed done when compared to other quotes. We had just purchased an older home and needed the following electrical items addressed as they were listed as critical on our home inspection report. He mastered them all with ease. 1. Replace the electrical panel with a new 150 amp main breaker panel and breakers. 2. Upgrade the grounding electrode system. 3. Install a whole panel surge protector. 4. Upgrade outside outlets to GFCI 5. Upgrade kitchen outlets to GFCI 6. Make the light in the attic operational 7. Install proper covers for junction boxes in attic 8. Protect spliced wires throughout attic 9. Install wiring in dining area ceiling for chandelier. We WILL always use him for any future electrical work on our home.

Fantastic experience. After not being able to reach the electrician who did work recently in our house, I called Mr. Shockley with an urgent issue, and he was at my house right away. Professional, respectful and knowledgeable, he thoroughly examined the problem and was able to fix it. We have an older home and we have renovated two areas which required a lot of re-wiring and two electrical panels. He found that the person who did the wiring during the renovation projects did not do it on a quality way, resulting in some potentially hazardous issues. He referred us back to the original contractor and armed us with photos of things that need to be fixed by them under their warranty. I wish we had known him when we did the installation, because his attention to detail and high-standards are more than evident. Well-priced and honest..he could have talked us in to re-wiring the main panel but wanted to make sure we got our moneys worth from our original contractor.

Christian has been to our Midtown condo for a couple of jobs now, and if something else comes up we will call him again. Not only do I appreciate the excellent work Christian did for us, but I am grateful that he was willing to suffer Midtown and Connector traffic to handle our relatively small residential jobs. Our first job was a somewhat-tricky, free-form track lighting fixture that challenged Christian to creatively explore placement while taking into consideration both DR table and wall art…....it looks great and we get compliments all the time. Our second job involved ceiling fans and light switches, and he handle that with relative ease as well. It is nice to have access to an electrician who is dependable, quotes jobs fairly, and treats his residential customers with the same respect as his probably more-profitable commercial clients!

I engaged Shockley Electric for a variety of small jobs at my home. Some of them were routine electrical tasks, but I also wanted to set up an Ethernet backbone network using some existing wiring. This network job was not routine. However, Christian listened to what I was trying to accomplish, worked with me on possible solutions, and then went about doing the job. Along the way he allowed me to look over his shoulder and even explained how I could in future do a few of the tasks myself. I was very pleased at how easy he was to work with and how professionally he tried to satisfy the requirements. There will likely be a few more projects in the future, and Shockley Electric will be getting the call for sure. I was completely happy about this first engagement.

We hired Shockley Electric to install a couple of timer switches for our exterior lights. Chris provided us an accurate quote and was very professional. He arrived on time and reviewed the work that had to be done. It turned out that the install was much more complicated than we thought. However, Chris was able to come up with an innovative solution and was still able to finish everything under the time that he had quoted. I would certainly hire Chris for future electrical work and in fact recommended him to a friend who is looking to get some work done at his house.
