My daughter started dancing here since the doors opened as a six year old. She had never taken a single dance class and actually suffers from a medical issue that affects her muscle control and flexibility. The owner/artistic director was able to see her potential and love of performing from the very start and has worked with her tirelessly to turn her into the dancer she is today. Her progress has been nothing short of amazing. Her skills continually improve and her instructors are diligent to ensure proper technique is implemented. She is in her third season as a performing arts company member and that experience has dramatically increased her overall confidence as a dancer and as a young lady. As with any competitive sports team, there are times the instructors are tough and the demands are high, but it is done to maximize their potential and give the girls an opportunity to express their love of dancing and performing. The payoff for the hard work is evident by the numerous high level awards at the regional and national competitions. The existing studio is small, but size doesn’t dictate the level of care and proper instruction the students will receive, as seen when the dancers routinely are placed above others from studios up to 10 times the size and when the girls are hugging and laughing with their instructors at the end of every class. Clearly the positives outweigh the negatives as word spreads about N-Step and the studio is expanding to a larger facility within the next few months. I highly recommend this studio to anyone interested in dance as an activity in a competitive or non-competitive manner.

I am new to the area and signed my daughter up here and it was not what we expected it to be. It is a VERY small studio...one little dance area with a tiny tiny waiting area. literally just a bit bigger than the Subway sandwich place next door There is never any room to watch and half time I had to wait outside for my daughter because you couldnt even get in with all the girls and parents waiting for the next class. More than that, it just kind of seemed like the instructor (owner) was always in a bad mood. Never smiled or talked to me. Just kind of scowled and gave the impression of "looking down" at me. The final straw was when I heard her yelling at one of the moms in the waiting area when it was full of other moms and girls. So inappropriate. I ended up pulling my daughter out and changing studios. Im so glad I did. Since than I have heard other horrible stories in the Dance community about this place and I am glad we didnt stick around long enough for my daughter to go through that!!! I have never written a review before but after reading the gushing reviews of the others (kind of funny they all posted them at the same time..seems a bit fishy), I felt I had to share.

I have shared our expeiences at several local dance studios over the years. N-Step Dance Academy is our dance home and we wouldnt change anywhere else for several reasons. First, the variety and quality of classes is exceptional. I have 2 daughters and both have learned excellent technique over the many years they have danced there. It has been taught at the level they each need and not just their actual age. Secondly, the girls and boys that dance there are truly friends. They are kind and helpful to one another. It is because of the instructors and studio directors firm belief in instilling collaboration and friendship that this happens. Thirdly, the trophies and banners on the wall speak for themselves. These students are learning and performing choreography that consistently is placing at the top at a variety of competitions. Just recently, at a National competition, they won Studio of the Year for having the highest scoring dances at the competition. The new space is just the frosting on the cake. Having more space for the dancers and parents is just going to take this studio to the next level.

My familys time is spent at school, work, home and N-Step Dance Academy!!!, and we would not have it any other way!! My little girl has truly blossomed in such a wonderful environment of Teaching,Discipline,Care and Love. The well being of the children that are taught here is of the utmost priority for the Staff/Owner/Teachers. They have taught these girls to be respectful and confident. The accolades are literally on the walls and in the lobby, displaying multiple regional and national competition wins!! N-steps reputation among the dance community and the competitions and conventions they attend is impeccable. Just ask them for yourself ! We have been with this Dance "Family" for 3 years and look forward everyday for many more years to come!! We are ecstatic to be a part of N-step as they continue to grow and prosper and teach "OUR" children they Joy of Dance. LOUD and PROUD..DANCE DAD!! Nnnnnn-STEP!!!

I have had a wonderful experience at N-Step Dance Academy. My child has been dancing there three years and is beginning a fourth year with great anticipation. We are all excited about the new dance space N-Step is occupying! It offers two large studios with professional floors, a spacious lobby, and a study breakroom for dancers to congregate on breaks. I could not be more pleased with the encouragement and stellar technical training my child has received. N-Step is a great place for the recreational student to learn skills and enjoy the art of dance and offers rigorous training for preprofessional students. I am so happy to see my child smiling and laughing with new friends and old as they practice and take classes. My child adores her instructors. I am amazed at what my child has learned in this respectful and loving environment!

Our oldest daughter started taking classes at NSDA 2 years ago, and now we have 2 daughters taking classes there. Our oldest is in the Performing Arts Company, and youngest, recreational classes. I love the high standards and values (respect other dancers within and outside of the studio, grade expectations, respecting authority figures, and being responsible for making wise decisions) the Director, and Instructors expect of their dancers at all skill levels. The group of company dancers and their families along with the instructors have truly become our 2nd family. The high level of commitment, dedication and love they are given from Ms. Alexis is evident when the dancers are on stage and consistently score the highest rankings at all of their competitions. NSDA Rocks!

This is going to be my kids 6th year dancing with N-Step. I have 1 girl and 2 boys at the studio and they have all learned so much over the years in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, pointe, hip hop and company. My youngest is a recreational dancer, while the 2 older ones are in the company (which has multiple National Champion titles every season). All 3 of my kids love N-Step and all of the instructors. We would highly recommend this studio for 1 class, 2, 3 or 7 ;) This studio is like a second home for my kids and I cannot say enough about how much my kids have learned in dance, in discipline, organizational skills, responsibility, team work, confidence, and a lot more.

This studio is fantastic! I am sure the previous reviewers have never been to this studio because they couldnt be more wrong! I know for sure that there are two very clean bathrooms in this studio. The entire staff is amazing-so loving and absolutely fabulous with kids. My child has never felt fear or intimidation at the studio and I can assure you that if she did we would no longer be there. My daughter dances here 6 days a week and I have NEVER seen any child treated inappropriately or even remotely close to abuse. We love this immaculately clean studio, the director, all of the instructors and would highly recommend it to everyone!
