Revising my review based on the SAME ISSUE occurring just a week or two past the 6 month "guarantee". Would give 0 stars if I could! Since our issue in November we have been diligently following the advice from Joe. So when this happened yet AGAIN today we were shocked. Called Roto Rooter and they absolutely refused to help out a loyal customer who has used their services in the past. Talked to the manager, Michael, who refused to help us in any way. So much for loyalty - and interesting how this happened just a couple weeks past the "experation" date on the warranty... Also - beware of the 5 star reviews. If the technician name and number is included its because Roto Rooter is telling customers to leave the reviews for a chance to win back 100% of the money they spent on the service. What a joke...please note how i mentioned tips for ongoing maintenance - which we followed!!!! "Our kitchen sink had a huge backup on Saturday night. Called Roto-Rooter in Aurora, IL and were able to schedule a visit from Joe (#1071) for early Sunday morning. Joe showed up right on time and was great. He walked us through what was causing the problem, what we needed to do to fix it and what the cost was before starting to get to work. He was able to get us back up and running quickly - even giving us some helpful tips for ongoing maintenance, which we really appreciated. Very professional!

I own a condo on the 4th floor of a building, and received a frantic call regarding an active leak in the unit below mine...possible broken pipe or toilet wax ring issue. Called Roto Rooter at 5 pm. They said someone would be there by 8 pm, and I would receive a call 30-45 minutes prior to arrival. At 8:05 I hadnt heard back. Called again, my ticket was found, the guy that answered the phone says "mmmm...thats weird" and transfers me to a lady who says the dispatch person is not at his desk and will have him call me back. I explained I drove all the way from Iowa (2.5 hrs) and have been waiting now for 3 hrs...how long before they call me? She says 3-5 minutes. At 8:32 Im still waiting. I call back, and after being put on hold same lady comes back and says "the reason why we didnt call you is because we dont have any plumbers that would be able to respond within a reasonable amount of time, so we moved your ticket to 9 am tomorrow!!!" Im like, why didnt anyone have the common sense and professionalism to call me and let me know you didnt have anyone available? And how does anyone assume that my neighbor and/or myself will be home tomorrow? And you leave me hanging here while my neighbor downstairs is flooding??? Just TERRIBLE! This is what they call quick response to emergency calls??? Do yourself a favor and dont call them. Save yourself the additional damage while you wait!

#4285 Howard was THE BEST!! We had a traumatic experience with coming home after grocery shopping to hear some alarms going off in our basement yesterday (glad we bought those water alarms) to find our basement flooded! We are planning to go on vacation today, we called Roto Rooter, they got to our house pretty quick and Howard got to work right away and offered us their clean up work as well so we can still go on vacation today!! Turned out there were 3 units in our town houses next to mine that were flooded as well so poor Howard was going to be out until probably 3:00 am but didnt waiver a bit!!! He kept a smile on his face the whole time and did a great job for us!!!! Thanks a bunch to Roto Rooter and Howard for saving our basement and saving our family vacation and my 5 year olds Birthday which is why we are going on vacation!!!!

First of all the fact that Roto-Rooter is 24 hours is awesome but also the fact that within an hour or two of me calling they had a repairman at my house was amazing! Felipe was awesome and answered all of my questions and even gave me plenty of advice as to how to prevent a blockage in my pipelines in the future. Not only that but he was able to actually fix the problem as soon as he got there and assessed everything. In the past I have experienced plumbers and repairmen requiring a service fee for them just coming out to take a look and then having to schedule a different day to come and fix the problem. Thanks to Roto-Rooter my toilet is working fine now and I will be taking all preventative measures to prevent this from happening in the future.

Just got old toilet removed and new one installed in the powder room. I called yesterday late afternoon to schedule an appointment, any time really was ok. And today the toilet is installed and working. Pat and his apprentice, Joseph, did an excellent job. The removal was swift. Pat broke down the old toilet to make it easy to fit in the garbage bin. The whole process was very quick and efficient. New toilet was installed very fast. They also had parts that I forgot to get. Im glad I called Roto-Rooter after research and calling few other places. There was no charge for just showing up. I will recommend them to other for sure and use them again if need arise.

I generally dont write a review but when the service is exceptional and professional you are bound to write one. Roto-Rooter is the service company to call when you have any major/minor plumbing issue in your house , their prices are reasonable and service top notch . Starting from scheduling the appointment which they normally accommodate based on your needs . Andrew attended my service call and he was very helpful and extremely professional and more importantly on time . He gave me a free estimate and explained me the process that he would undertake. 5 stars from me is for his professional service. Keep up the good work Roto .

Our kitchen drain backed up on my wife a couple of days ago while I was at work. I searched and saw pretty fair comments online that Roto-Rooter was charging around $250 for this service..I called and they said the tech sets the price. The guy came out, was rude to my wife, stated a price of $435, but lowered it to $395 to snake the drain. He was out in 20 minutes with $395!!! They also state they are not responsible for any damage they cause!!!! This service was horribly overpriced and the tech very rude. Except to honor the warranty on this work, we shall never, ever call Roto-Rooter again for anything.

Today started off having to make the dreaded call to have someone come out and look at my hot water heater. If someone had to tell me it needed replacing I am glad it was Kyle (3269) and Howard (4285)! They were professional. efficient, worked quickly all while being friendly and polite. They were honest and did not try to up-sale me; patiently showing my son & I how to relight the pilot light and courteously cleaning up everything even the floor since it was wet outside today. I told them they were welcome back anytime as long as no bill was involved!! Their staff is always a pleasure to deal with.
