Christine’s mission is to “bring her client’s [wedding] visions to life…with a unique holistic approach to planning and event design.” She and her team stand behind this statement and our experience with her backs it up. We worked with Christine Janda and her team last summer (2015) for our wedding at the Bridgeport Art Center Sculpture Garden. She was our month-of coordinator and did the event design. Christine was referred to us from one of the catering vendors we spoke to who had a really great experience working with her on another wedding. We learned that wedding planning can take up so much time. In fact, it did take up a lot of our time. And it wasn’t all productive, it became overwhelming and it started to make it not fun. There are so many big and small decisions to make, so many vendors from which to choose. After our initial meeting with Christine, we felt like we could put a lot of that decision-making in her hands and know that she would make the visions we had for our wedding in our heads into reality. Christine was always available for questions and feedback. If the vision you have for your event is not yet totally clear, Christine has thought out recommendations/suggestions drawing from what she has heard you say you want, (or more importantly) what you don’t want, her design background, and past experiences/events, and always with your budget in mind. In the month leading up the wedding, Christine became the point-of-contact with all of our vendors (she had worked with many of them before), did a detailed walk-thru with us at the venue, finalized details with our vendors, finalized our designs, had several review meetings with us to go over the very detailed day-of timeline – we knew the when, where, who, what, and how down to the minute. She coordinated so many last minute details and decisions that we never even thought of and needed. Our wedding day was so much fun! We were excited, yet relaxed. We worked with a coordinator/designer because we didnt want to worry about anything the day-of. Christine and her team took care of all of that. She answered everyone’s questions, kept everyone on track and on time, if a hiccup did happen, we didn’t know about it. She takes control and runs the show, without being demanding. All the important details remain at the top of her mind. The venue design was so beautiful. Christine took the vision we had in our minds and created a gorgeous landscape of flowers and lush greenery for our ceremony and reception. I wish flowers lasted forever because my bouquet was gorgeous and a true indulgence. We used these very sentimental goblets that were used by my husband’s parents and his grandparents’ in their weddings. We kept setting them down and accidentally walking away without them and Christine would always put them back in our hands a minute later. All Christine. We mean it when we say everything went as planned because Christine was always behind scenes working with the vendors, everyone, to make the day and night go like it smoothly. We spoke with several wedding coordinators but worked with only one. We highly recommend Christine Janda and her team. They know this because they do this. Forward, backwards, inside out and upside down. She is extremely organized, pays attention to detail, and creative. She is super likeable and has a great smile. She listened to and heard us. She made us feel important and helped make our day extra special.

Choosing Christine Janda as our wedding planner/designer was hands-down the best decision my husband and I made throughout our wedding planning process. We were initially undecided about whether to hire a wedding coordinator, but we quickly realized that we were in way over our heads. We contacted Christine after she was recommended by one of the reception venues we considered. Although we interviewed several wedding coordinators, we knew immediately after our initial phone interview with Christine that she was the right fit for us. The CJDE team truly goes above and beyond for their clients. Planning a wedding can be extremely overwhelming, but Christine made the process smooth and stress-free. Shes incredibly organized and provides a comprehensive planning timeline (as a type-A personality myself, this was very much appreciated!). She offered much-needed advice and wisdom about budget, vendors, and etiquette. Our wedding was absolutely spectacular thanks to Christines creativity and design skills. Im not particularly creative or visual, so I relied heavily on Christines expertise. I shared with her some colors/décor/themes I liked, and she created the wedding of my dreams. From the breathtaking bouquets and centerpieces to our beautiful invites and day-of paper (designed by the lovely Lindsay Brown), Christine and her team made sure that every detail was perfect. Wedding planning with Christine was a complete joy thanks to her talent, professionalism, and positivity. Not only was our wedding absolutely perfect, but we also feel like we gained a friend during the process!

Goodness, I can not say enough about Christine Janda Design & Events!! Christine truly gave us the best day of our lives. She genuinely cares about her clients and ensures their wedding/event is a true reflection of THEM. Her knowledge of the Chicago wedding industry is invaluable and vendors clearly adore her, which helps make the process so much easier. Christines uncanny organization put us at ease throughout the entire planning process and, I know this sounds cliche, but our wedding day was flawless. It could not have gone any smoother and she handled the entire day like a pro. In addition to planning, Christine and her team also did our florals. When I saw my bouquet - no joke - I teared up, and when my husband and I walked into our reception we were both speechless. It was exactly what we had envisioned but better, because Christines taste is impeccable. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

I was referred to Christine by my wedding venue coordinator when I was truly struggling to find a decorator that could help me make my vision for my wedding come true. I emailed her and she responded quickly responded to my inquiry which put me at ease instantaneously. When I met Christine, she was a breath of fresh air! I felt like she really cared about my vision and what I wanted for my wedding. We discussed a few ideas that I had and her and her team put it together perfectly for my wedding. I never felt stressed with the decor and design for the wedding because Christine and her team were always on top of it! She knew what I wanted and what would blend with the venue and on my wedding day everyone just kept saying of beautiful everything was! There arent enough wonderful things to say about Christine and her team! They are amazing!

Christine helped with the coordination of our wedding day. She was hands down the lynch-pin to keeping everything run smoothly. My husband and I did not worry about a thing knowing Christine was in charge, which helped us truly enjoy the whole day. I tend to be a bit of a control freak, but knowing Christine had everything under control, let me unwind and be present at my wedding which is priceless. Her professionalism and attitude keeps everyone on point with a stress-free, positive flow. She is patient, cheerful and genuinely cares about her clients and events. My other vendors worked seamlessly with her and loved her as much as I do! I would recommend Christine to anyone and everyone looking for help with their special event.

Christine and her team were a HUGE part in making sure our big day went smoothly. Everything that they did turned out beautiful and exactly how we wanted things to look and feel. Christine did the floral as well as the month of planning for us and it was one of the best decisions that we made throughout the planning process.
