VERY UNPROFESSIONAL when it comes to cleaning services. I havent used any of their other services nor will I ever! The first person who the agency referred me, called me and set up a time and date. Great. I waited for her but she never came so I finally called her and she said she had another job come up. She never called to let me know she wasnt going to make her appointment. I called the agency back and the lady (owner? manager?) was like, "Give her another chance. Were all human." I was like, I havent even met this woman yet and she didnt even bother to let me know she wasnt coming. I want someone else. So she sent me someone else who was very nice. She came over actually earlier than the time and looked around and quoted a price that was great. So I hired her. First time she cleaned the house in 3 hrs, then next in 2.5, then next time in 2 hrs 10 min. While she was getting faster and faster (at this trajectory, shed be down to cleaning my house in 1 hr!), her cleaning was not very thorough. There was still little bits of food crusted on the stove. and we had to ask her once to do a better job on the toilet, to vacuum underneath the sofa. She was nice about it but it felt wierd to have to ask the "professional" to do her job better. The price was cheaper by $15 than my last cleaning lady (who was great but unfortunately left the cleaning business for a better career) but when I calculated what I was actually paying this speedy lady, it was over $30/hr to do a mediocre job! I called the agency back to ask for a more thorough person and the owner/manager refused to send me anyone else and said, "Why dont you pay her MORE so she will do a better job." Besides, she said that this lady was one of her best cleaners. I was flabbergasted! I never set the initial price, I never bargained the price down. The cleaning lady looked at the house and SHE set the price. I assumed she was going to do a thorough job similar to prior cleaning companies. My home is about 2,000 sq feet, not very messy (we dont even wear shoes in the house and make the kids pick up toys daily) and no one prior has ever cleaned it in faster than 3 1/2 hrs unless there were 2 people. Anyways, LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR CLEANING SERVICES and for a professional interaction/experience. If all you care about is the price, call them. If their best cleaner is the one cleaning my house, its kind of sad how subpar the standard for them is. Dont expect any sympathy or professionalism from the owner/manager if you have any grievances. Shell just tell you to suck it up and be human. :)

I am writing this review to let you know how happy we are with the services provided by Eva Pulczynska and the Gold Coast Agency. Our mother who is 86 years old suffered a massive stroke in the summer of 2014. She is bed-ridden and requires two caregivers 24/7. When we first brought her home, we used the services of a care-giver agency. It was a nightmare. The turnover and inconsistency of the help provided was terrible. As a family, we decided to find our own private caregivers. We contacted Eva and she was wonderful in helping us find the perfect caregivers in a timely manner. We currently have three caregivers for our mom, all found with Eva’s assistance. The three women rotate so that two are on duty and one is off duty on a rotating basis and my mother’s care is excellent! Her doctor, who comes to the house to give my mom her exams, comments regularly that he has never seen such wonderful and attentive in-home care. My mother has become very attached to her caregivers and my family could not be more at peace with the loving, responsible and competent care that she receives each and every day. Eva is professional, responsive and caring. She follows up and stays in contact with us to monitor how things are going. I would like to highly recommend using A Gold Coast Domestic Agency as your caregiver service. My grandmother suffered from advance Dementia and needed a caregiver with the knowledge, patience and experience needed to handle this difficult type of disease. I contacted Eva from A Gold Coast Agency in Downers Grove and she promptly responded to our needs. Eva is incredibly professional and caring. She took the time to really understand my grandmothers needs and followed up to make sure she had the best quality care. When it came time that I needed a weekend caregiver, Eva immediately provided us with the extra help. We had used several agencies prior to contacting A Gold Coast Agency, and none could provide my grandmother with such high level of quality care. I am very impressed with the professionalism and excellence displayed. A Gold Coast Agency is by far the best agency we ever used. We will definitely highly recommend you to anyone in need of care.

In March of 2015, I hired a live-in attendant through Eva, at A Gold Coast Domestic Agency, for my 38 year old son who has cerebral palsy. He lives in his own apartment, but can do nothing for himself other than eat finger food and play on the computer. The attendant she placed is by far the best attendant we have ever had in the past fifteen years. He and my son get along fantastically, he takes great care of him, and the apartment is spotlessly clean. We are all hoping he will stay for many years. Eva did a wonderful job of matching their personalities, choosing a person who is very thorough in all aspects of the job, and just a good person to live with. Eva checked back several times in the first weeks of the attendants employment to make sure everything was going smoothly. I have recommended Gold Coast to my friends and will use them again myself, if the need arises.
