Its a friendly, but professional service - just as youd expect. Ive had several cuts there, but probably will not be back. They give a northwestern discount, which I appreciated. The salon is sufficiently comfortable, but has some remodeling to finish in the less populated areas (coat rack, back room, etc). The hair cuts were only ok. When my girlfriend kindly teases me 2 weeks after a cut, the 4th return visit to the same girl, for having a mullet, I start to rethink coming back. The girl refuses to cut my hair to the length I discuss because shes convinced the hair will stick up. I repeat to her that the cut Ive described every visit so far, Ive been getting for years - it can be done without a problem. So I get a "mullet." It wasnt so bad, but wasnt so great either.

It was my first time at this salon. I had Nicole and she did an amazing job with my too long and lifeless hair. I thought the price was inexpensive considering the wonderful staff and services. However I do wish they would have told me that they only except tips via cash or check. So I did not leave a tip, but because of the wonderful experience will be stopping by to drop that off and plan on going back for future cuts. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable haircut and relaxing atmosphere.

Highly recommend. Salon Roula is a lovely, clean place. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. The owner Roula, has cut my hair for over 20 years and Ive never had a bad haircut. Shes an expert in color and product and always seems to be tuned into the condition of my hair. -- Other members of the staff have cut my hair when Roula has been gone, and I can say the same for them. Always a good hair cut.

Her amazing skill is in styling hair that fits the individual rather than forcing people to adjust to the dictates of her interpretations. Roula has been cutting, coloring and highlighting my hair for many, many years. Ive had short hair, long hair and everything in between and every cut has been a good one. The color and highlighting are consistently good as well. Everyone who works at the salon is personable and does a great job. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Roula and her wonderful staff.

I discovered Roula when I was a student at Northwestern. She cut my hair into a great style, (and that is a trick with my poker straight and lifeless hair) all four years as an undergrad. Graduated and moved away. Returned, and voila, found that Roula had opened her own Salon. Great atmosphere, great stylists, great cuts. Try Salon Roula, youll like it.

This best place ever. It is truly wonderful. They give the best haircuts. Love the people and the different styles. My hair had a lot of damage and they fixed it. They also explained how to keep it fixed, step by step. I recommend it to everybody. You need appointments but it is so worth it. Please go.

This place is amazing! I decided to get my hair chopped as a last minute its-my-birthday-i-can-do-anything thing. I went in and Sophia cut and highlighted my hair. Not only was I laughing the entire time I was in my chair, I ended up with an awesome haircut! I highly recommend this place!
