When I went in I simply wanted to trim my hair towards then back because I was growing out an undercut. I specifically stated I did not want the fringe/front of my hair cut at all, but the barber did not follow my instructions at all. Instead of getting a simple trim, the barber cut my hair all around to about half the length I originally had it, setting me back months in growing out my hair. Its outrageous to charge $16 for a haircut if you dont even somewhat follow the instructions someone gives when you cut their hair. I can assure you I never plan on getting another haircut at Gurnee Barber shop, and I would advise against anyone getting their haircut there.

After going here Im just upset Ive been going to salons for such a long time and paying almost double for less. Im a mid 20s guy and Im really picky about my hair so I was nervous, but its one of the best cuts Ive had in a while! Walked in and got a cut right away. The price was very reasonable and the experience was great. If youre on the fence about going here just do it, you wont regret it. The shop was really homey feeling and laid back which is also a plus. More expensive isnt always better!

My husband and I went into this barber shop today (12/31/16) for the first time, and my husbands Hair looks amazing!!! Mel did such a great job!!! Took her time, told us some neat stories about the history of the place and she was an all around people person!! Not used to that when you go into other hair shops!
