I was a frequent customer and part of the rewards program at Ulta in McHenry until December 31st i decided to go and to purchase a couple lipsticks and see what other great things i could buy, but as soon as i walked in the store their was a employee that kind started following me and never asked if she could help every were i went she was following my steps felt really awkward but really ignored it when a had a handfull of item i went to register to pay as soon as i walk up the employee following me told the cashiers over their ear piece/radio my total amount due before they even scan my stuff that is when i realized i was being discriminated for the color of my skin i and a 24 year old latina and thought of to be a thief i told the cashier why that was happening that if they thought i was going to steal and she was shocked i realized what the heck was going on i left the store and did not purchase anything i got to my car and i started to cry tears not because i was sad but because i felt really humiliated that is when i steped up and decided to go back in and talk to manager she did nothing but say sorry do you want and fragrance samples thats when i realized were the employees got their discrimination habbits from it all starts from managment and do not care about their customers that is the first time i have seen that manager and employee i recognized the others i now will not shop at ulta in mchenry and i have friends that had the same issues there too so if you like to be treated fairly and with respect DO NOT GO TO ULTA IN MCHENRY

The management of this establishment needs to be investigated by their corporate team. On several occasions while shopping with a friend, we noticed that the manager will walk by us and then wink and laugh with her co-workers. It has become so awkward that we would prefer to shop at the Sephora or the Algonquin location. Ulta this behavior is not tolerated. Please investigate, I guarantee we arent the only ones that this is happening to.

I got my hair done by Jamie just a few days ago and I am super happy with my first experience here! Everybody was super nice; not to mention Jamie was very personable and made me feel very comfortable! She did a very thorough consultation and gave me exactly what I was looking for! I highly recommend this salon (especially this stylist) to anyone on the fence about coming here! So happy with my experience here, thanks Ulta!

I have noticed that several of the younger cashiers here do not seem very friendly and tend to just mechanically herd you through checkout. Not sure the reasons, but Ive noticed the friendliest staff are the more "mature" women. Also getting tired of them not having the freebie items in stock when I go in.

I have gotten a few extreme hair cuts here and the women that soothes are always awesome, not only are they personable but my cuts always look great. Do be specific with what exactly you want though since some things can get lost in communication if you are hesitant. The price wasnt too bad either!

Absolutely terrible. I got my hair done at the salon and it was nothing that I asked for. I had medium-long length hair and asked her to cut it shoulder length. She cut it so short, its barely past my chin. I will never go back to this salon, and will tell everyone I know to avoid it as well.

My experience was AWFULL ! TOLD the head stylist what I wanted " didnt get it " ! Instead got a choppy mess of a haircut that will take MONTHS to grow back and I told her I had a wedding to go to the next Saturday. She didnt care her name is Eran
