I was very excited to try this place. The wait staff and the servers were all very very nice people (which is rare). The explained how the food was prepared and the pricing. The place is immaculately clean, even the bathrooms were very clean and well decorated. The problem came with the food. Pricing was alright, I had the sampler platter while my friend had the sliders. The smoked turkey and the spicy sausage was great! The other meats not so much. It wasnt that the meat was not good, it was the sauce. Everything had a sweet sauce on it which over powered the tastes of the meats. The Baked Beans were also very sweet and the hush puppies were sweet (good, but sweet). I think if they toned down the sweeteners in the beans, sauces, and hush puppies and served the meats with sauces on the side, it would have been awesome! I didnt think the food was over priced and the when my friend expressed to the staff that she did not care for the food, they tried to accommodate, but she was just ready to go. She ended up ordering a salad, which she said was very good. The only item I really did not care for was the Mexican corn. If they serve the meat with sauce on the side and keep the wait staff and place as it was, I will be back.

Went there for anniversary with husband it says its a BBQ Restaurant its more a fast food place than a nice restaurant . The place looks really nice but we didnt like the fact you can not sit have a drink and look over the menu, You have to stand there looking stupid while deciding what you want kinda feels like being back at school, So eventually we decided what we wanted after standing there for 5 min but can not imagine how that works when it gets busy. Then within 5 not even 5 mins food was on the table served on a tray with plastic cutlery. We wont be going back. I would say for kids partys is awesome for romantic date nights, Anniversarys go else where. Once the food came one of my 2 sides was there Brussels sprouts. As the food came out the manager walked up and asked if everything was OK. Then looked at my side the Brussels sprouts and asked me if my Brussels sprouts were OK. After one bite before she walked up i knew they were at least 2 to 3 days old and she had the lack of experience as a manager asked if they were OK even though they were clearly not edible and she walked away without replacing them take a look at the picture yourself. YUCK!!!!!

I actually really liked this place. I have been there several times and always enojoyed it except for the last time I was there. We ordered our food, waited for it, our food was then delivered to the wrong table. It sat at the wrong table for about 10 minutes and when it was brought up to the servers attention, she took the food from that table and brought it to our table, except it was now cold. We were also missing some of the hush puppies they serve with the dishes. We told the waitress of the food had been touched and she said no except for one of our sides that was being replaced, although it was obvious other items had been touched. When another waitress came around and asked if everything was ok, we reiterated the fact that the entire situation was uncomfortable and, I wish I was exaggerating, the waitress shrugged her shoulders and walked away... Well... We will just go to other places now, Im sure they will still do well, losing my business wont break them, but still, I think they handled the situation in the worst way possible

Keep this first sentence in mind as you read my review: Ive been jobless for 5 months and just moved here from St. Louis, MO where Pappys Smokehouse was simply dropped from heaven. I just forked over $40 to Q-BBQ for the Papa Q Platter and a couple of sides, as Ive been awaiting the opening of this restaurant for months. The poor excuse for mac & cheese was the worse (youve been warned!); Jewels deli has better-tasting coleslaw; you can find those same baked beans in a can on a grocery store shelf; the fries were unremarkable; I chewed the pulled pork until all the sauce was gone, then spit it out; I couldnt tell one taste of meat from the next until something really hot filled my palate; the hush puppies were ok. Twenty minutes after eating only a fourth of this food, my left hand became severely arthritic and my left foot doubled in size; I threw the remaining food down the garbage disposal. I will never patronize this restaurant again and too depressed to fight it! (Good thing they dont advertise their prices.)

Smoked Tacos!!! Perfect assortment of Pork Belly, Burnt ends and Chicken, all with a unique balance of sweet and savory. Side of golden brown Hushpuppies topped it off. Ron and Marlo took excellent care of me. Aside from the fan directly above me on high cooling my food faster than I could enjoy it, I highly recommend the restaurant. PS... the spicy sauce is no joke. Its got some lingering intense heat. Be warned! But seriously good flavor here.

Hush puppies are everything! Great customer service and good portions of well seasoned food. I had a sandwich and took half of it home along with the spicy fries. I love fries! The southern sweet tea is good as well, not overly sweet just sweet enough. I tried the Memphis Sweet BBQ sauce and the North Carolina vinegar, both are good in their own way. Ill try spicy when I return. Oh and dont forget to grab some pickles, pickles go with everything!

I went back after a long time because of the tremendous parking headache in this area but the food is basically worth it! I had the 2 meat plate with pulled pork sliced turkey the sides were the baked beans and cornbread I also added a taste of the chopped Brisket thanks to Ronn who suggested it. The Sliced turkey was juicy (a surprise) and mixed well with the pulled pork and chopped brisket. Add the B-Que sauce and it made a great lunch!

Im from KC so the bbq judgement is partial. The staff is Very friendly. I feel like its a bit expensive and their bbq is fine. Is it the best ? No but its close to my home. Their fries could improve as well as their side dishes but its a work in progress. I believe this is a tennessee style bbq. Im born in raised in KC.. there is a HUGE Difference but this will do just fine

I enjoyed myself! The platter was well seasoned, and the Sweet Q sauce...OMG!! I just wished the day wasnt cold to sit outside to really enjoy my dinner date! The only drawbacks were that the food had started getting cold, and that I ordered the Mac-Q-cheese instead of the cornbread (which was corrected immediately). Other than that, Ill be going back VERY SOON!!

Wow! This is by far my favorite bbq place. This location in particular is top notch. I usually get the sliders, but everything on the menu is great. The mac n cheese topped with cheese its....yes cheese its! Is incredible. They also have a nice beer selection if you are into that. Also, the people who work there are always so friendly and professional.
