I went to Oswego travel for help in planning a vacation. Its a weird looking office with 4 desks crammed in a small room. When I opened the door, I just got blank stares from 4 women. It was very odd and awkward. I asked if they could help me plan a vacation and I sat down at one of the desks. I explained that I didnt have a passport but wanted to go somewhere warm. I dont remember the name of the woman that helped me, but she did a quick "google" search and found a travel deal to St. Aleutia for 3 nights at over $5,000.00. She said shed get back to me as she did more research. After not hearing from them for a week I decided to book my own trip with my wife to Puerto Rico. 3 nights and 4 days at the Ritz Carlton for $2,000.00. I dont know how these places stay in business, but I certainly wont be using this Oswego Travel Agency place ever again. Useless is almost too kind to describe their services. Youre better off using Southwest.com as they have an easy website to use and you can book flight and hotel and car if youd like right on their site. As an update to my January 15, 2017 review, I got a call from April Morganegg on March 23, 2017. She left a message with me and wanted to inquire as to why I left a negative review. I called her back and explained exactly what happened and why I had a negative experience. I made a remark that I normally dont leave any reviews, but that my experience with Oswego Travel left such a bad taste that I felt it necessary to leave a negative review. Instead, she made a remark that I had left a bad review for "four eyes" and that somehow I was lying that I dont leave bad reviews. I believe her words were, I "contradicted" myself. To be honest, I left a review with four eyes about 10 years ago, that I completely forgot about, yet that is all she could harp on. After spending about 20 minutes discussing the terrible experience I had with Oswego Travel, she had the gall to ask me to take my negative review down as her internet marketing adviser told her it was having a negative impact on her business. I told her Id consider it and left it at that. What is funny is that she began talking to one of her co-workers while I was still on the phone. I had the pleasure of listening to her unadulterated and relentlessly disparaging and vulgar comments about me for about 10 minutes. Finally, I heard an "Oh my God" and the phone hung up. I felt that it was only fair to call her to let her know that I had heard her entire conversation with her co-worker who apparently listed to our entire previous conversation on speaker phone and I was promptly hung up on. About 6 minutes later, I received a sheepish call from April Morganegg in which she stated we somehow got disconnected. I had no problem telling April Morganegg that not only am I not going to take my review down, but that its crystal clear my review was directly on point and the absolute truth. Instead of demonstrating some humility, all I got was denial after denial when I confronted her about the disparaging and vulgar comments that she had said about me. I was considering removing my negative review, but now Im glad I left that review. Hopefully, I can help others in the community to be aware that Oswego Travel is a business that does not belong in the community. As a resident of Oswego, I would recommend to stay far and clear of this business.

I too read David Lee’s review of Oswego Travel. I have to agree with the other reviewer (Rocky T) Mr. Lee is a pompous know-it-all. First, of all I never of St. Aleutia. I looked up the word on the internet and found there are the Aleutian Islands, which are according to Wikipedia, are a chain of 14 large volcanic islands and 55 smaller ones belonging to both the United States and Russia. No, I don’t think Mr. Lee wanted to go north for break. Nor, do I think Oswego Travel agent would recommend that. Now there’s Saint Lucia, which is a Caribbean country. I’m going to give Mr. Lee the benefit of the doubt with his poor grammar. Not having made 14 days advance reservations and going to a Caribbean country in January (at peak season) is easily going to cost $5,000, probably end up closer at $8K. Also, going to Saint Lucia would be all-inclusive resort. Puerto Rico is not all-inclusive; you still have to pay for your drinks, food, tips. I have found in my travels food and especially beverages at the hotels can be quite costly. Mr. Lee’s comparison is all wrong. The Puerto Rico trip you would have to add all the food, drinks, tips, etc. and that would add considerably to the $2,000 bill. The point in mentioning just some of Mr.Lee’s misrepresentations is why we use Patsy at Oswego Travel. I don’t have to worry about any of this stuff. We contact Patsy ahead of time and tell her where we want to go, the approximate week(s) we want to go and wait. Patsy gets back to us and has everything figured out. We go and see her and she has mapped out all the different choices of hotels, activities, etc. for each week we gave her. I don’t have to do anything but ask Patsy and she has the answers. It’s all figure out. She really has made our trips, so wonderful! :) Why do I need to be a travel expert when there’s Oswego Travel? The only thing “useless” about Oswego Travel is David Lee’s review of it. We have used Patsy for years and will continue to do so. I highly recommend!

My first ever business trip to China and I booked it with Oswego Travel. Patsy was my agent. I was worried sick about going so far and to such a foreign place. Patsy took her time with me, showed me all sorts of pictures of the area, told me personal stories of trips taken by her and her husband and even had one of the other girls come over to share thoughts and comments on the area. We talked about the route I needed to take, even the shots I needed to get into the country as it was my first time. She kept commenting on the panic in my eyes even though I was a full grown adult. She helped me secure a visa on short notice by suggesting that I actually go down to the visa office in Chicago instead of going through the mail. She was FANTASTIC! The date finally arrives for the trip and she calls me at home and amazingly, gives me her cell phone number just in case anything goes wrong on any leg of the trip. I mean, who does this?! Of course, there was no problem, the trip was perfect and Patsy and Oswego Travel have since been my absolute "go to" travel agent service ever since. They have never let me , my friends or the people I have sent their way down. A HUGE thumbs up for Patsy and Oswego Travel! Doing things right, the old school way. Love you guys!!

I read the review by David Lee, (an attorney in Aurora IL) and found his knowledge and perspective lacking. What utter nonsense ! Oswego Travel Agency does not use Google, in fact, very few travel agents use google. Travel agents, at least the best ones, have all the different vendors software on their computers. This is unique travel software from all their vendors. Its a big investment by the travel agency to do this. If you are a know-it-all then you dont need a travel agent. We have used Oswego Travel Agency for 19 years. Their travel agents experience and knowledge surpasses anything we could do ourselves, or weve found in the area. They showed us the pitfalls to avoid and problems with the flights or unique qualities of a resort. They have done the homework for us. They have guided my family to have a fun & relaxing holiday every time. We have used Patsy, Sandy and Linda..all excellent agents. I would highly recommend you use Oswego Travel for all your travel needs.
