Amazing, special place, Lincolnshire Academy of Dance (LAD)! Our daughter is in her 9th year at Lincolnshire. We know enough now about dance and dance studios to know how lucky we are--the facilities are great and the staff treats students and parents like family. What amazes me about LAD is that they somehow provide it all--whether you child (daughter OR son) wants to take 1 class just for fun, or whether your child seeks excellent, technical, professional instruction for recitals, competition and beyond, LAD provides it. They have zero turnover in staff, and they are strong in literally every dance type. When teachers are happy, it reflects on the studio, and LAD has buzz about it that it positive and noticeable. Some places focus solely on their competitive companies, and some focus mostly on 1 or two types of dance. LAD truly provides it all, and ALL types of dancers (from casual to serious) feel like they belong and are respected. That is unusual for dance studios. LAD keeps everyone happy and working. What is also unusual for LAD (and they are growing as more and more Northshore families leave other studios to come to LAD) is that they keep dancers coming all the way through Sr year of High School (and beyond--college and pre-professional LAD alum dancers visit constantly--they cant stay away). There is a strong mentor mentality with the older students that provides additional support for the young dancers. The June recitals are truly special. Whether you are parents of a young child or older student wanting to try something new, come to LAD--you and your dancer(s) wont be disappointed!

My children have gone to the Lincolnshire Academy of Dance for 3 years now. I have never had my kids exposed to such a nurturing learning environment. The teachers are extremely talented, know their craft so well & know how to effectively convey to all age groups. My kids retain & excel each & every year. Their interest in various dance classes grow & I truly fell that my kids are loved here. I will continue to enroll my kids in the Lincolnshire Academy of Dance for years to come. This is definitely the place to go in the North Shore for dance classes of all sorts & for all ages.
