My appointment was with Ashley. I gave the rating two stars because the salon had a pleasant atmosphere and good coffee. I was however disappointed in the updo that I got for a wedding. First of all, I brought pictures as to what I was looking for. Something simple yet classy. She gave me a prom up do! It looked like something a 17 year old would wear! Then she proceeded to put a bump on the top of my head so I looked like a "bump it" model. On top of that the hairstyle looked extremily messy, like I had danced all night and that was the end result. Im not a picky person when it comes to hair at all. But when I addressed the messiness of the hairstyle she became extremily offended and brought another stylist over saying that there was some "communication problems". She then told me I had too much hair ( I have medium length hair!). I was extremily offended by the way this stylist behaved. I was terribly disappointed in my hair! If I wanted that treatment I would have scheduled my hair appointment at the mall and saved $30. By the way, the bride went to Mia & Max and looked beautiful!

I have been getting my hair professionally dyed and cut for about 13 years. I have a 2 year old now, a new business, and broke a rule that we all know...Dont try and bleach/highlight your own hair. lol Lets just say a bleaching kit, painful hair pulling through a cap and a nice leopard spotted look on top of my head later I broke down and called Mira! They got me in THAT day. While I can easily laugh at myself and realize its just hair, I really felt I had messed up my pretty hair that Id been taking care of for so long. Erin is who did my hair and she wasnt hard on me about being lazy and stupid for doing that but even laughed with me. It ended up looking great and I was very happy to have such a great hair stylist to go to again. So, thanks Erin! You did a great job on my leopard spots! hahahaha

I am extremely hesitant about getting my hair cut after all the BAD haircuts Ive had here in Bloomington. Ive tried several places only to get the exact same hair cut that I came in with except an inch shorter, which is NOT what I asked for....so, I made an appointment at Mira and Ash cut my hair. I just have to say she is SO WONDERFUL! She was nice, funny and the hair stylist that Ive been looking for all my life! I didnt have any trouble getting an appointment and I didnt have to wait forever when I came in for my appointment. I would truely recommend that if you are having trouble figuring out what to do with your hair, let Ash tell you what she thinks and let her do what she wants. Shes an artist and you will not be disapointed.

I went in for a haircut, hoping to shed some of my ridiculously curly locks. My stylist was Jackie, and I was so pleased with her work and attitude that I wouldnt consider going anywhere else for my next appointment. The atmosphere in this building is great. It feels sleek and modern; pleasantly cool with very relaxing music. I just mellowed out while Jackie hacked my hair down to perfection. I was impressed with her ability to cut curly hair, since hers looked pretty straight. My favorite parts of the experience were that Jackie didnt force me to chat like so many stylists feel they have to, and I got to leave with a goody bag of coupons, chocolate, and product samples. Quite possibly the best salon Ive been to.

I had been putting off getting a cut because the last two places I had gone to had completely botched my hair. I loved seeing that Mira came so highly recommended and was hoping to experience how awesome Jackie was myself, so gave them a call. To save you a bit of time, turns out Jackie doesnt accept new clients (so try finding a friend thats already a client and get her to refer you I guess). I mean, if youre okay with that kind of pretentiousness in Bloomington, of all places. Im not. Im sorry to say they lost a potential new customer, so maybe theyll take the hint after awhile.

My best friend is getting married and has been going to Mira for a long time. When she went to schedule the bridesmaids appointments, she was informed Mira does not do special occasions updos for people who are not current clients. I am infuriated - my friend already has her bridal appointment set and has been a loyal customer - and more importantly, we were all ready to give Mira $80+ per person (for all seven bridesmaids!), and instead are met with a pretentiousness I didnt think existed in Bloomington. This policy makes no sense to me, and I will never be giving them my money.

Ive been to all sorts of hair salons...high end places to girls who cut hair in their basement. Ive lived in Bloomington for about two years and had yet to find a great salon/stylist. I just got my haircut from Ash who did an amazing job! She did exactly what I wanted! She was so personable and friendly and most importanly, she did not try to sell me on every product she used in my hair...I think its such a turn off when stylists do that. The best part is that my haircut cost just as much as the mall salons. I think I found myself a new salon!

I came in with symptoms of bad-haircut-itis. With naturally curly hair, that can be a BIG deal! I called in and explained my situation. The receptionist recommended an appointment with Tiffany OBrien. I was told she too had curly hair and was very determined to make other people with curly hair love their haircuts! Boy was that true!! She investigated my erroneous haircut and fixed it wonderfully with out taking to much off. I dont know about the salon, but Tiffany OBrien is an EXCELLENT STYLIST, Very knowledgeable and very personable!

The salon is beautiful, modern and clean. It is centrally located and easy to see from the road. My stylist was extremely friendly and really went the extra mile to make sure I felt really lovely the whole time I was there. I took one star off because while the service was great and Im confident in the quality of the stylists, my cut wasnt astonishing. I asked for a Ramirez Tran style messy lob which is sort of what I already had so they barely touched the scissors to me. I left looking like I wanted to but they styled instead of cut.

I have gone to Jenna for many massages over the past two years. She is one of the most talented and intuitive masseuses I have ever seen. She can quickly sense where problem areas are, even if Im not aware of them. Yes, sometimes it hurt and other times it did not, but thats what happens with deep tissue work. Most of the time a masseuse will follow a "routine" spending X minutes on one area, and Y on the next. Jenna may start out that way, but she ends up focusing healing attention where it is needed.
