I have gone to Ali three times for cut, highlights, low lights, and a brow wax. I live in Carmel Indiana, and have gone to the same stylist here for 7.5 years, until she recently moved to Florida. She had recommended someone at my current salon for me to see who specialized in blonde coloring and had been with the salon for five years...I thought doing hair was probably "no big deal" and wasnt worried....I was VERY unhappy with my results! I called and sent pictures to Ali to ask her opinion, and also sent the same photos to my previous stylist Jeni... both Ali and Jeni agreed it was not a good highlight service...Ali knew what I was wanting for my hair results, and fixed my hair the very next day and I was a VERY happy girl! I trusted Ali because I knew she graduated from the Fredericks Aveda Institute program, and I have used and loved Aveda products for almost 10 years. I am extremely picky, and I am honest...if I wasnt happy I would not have written a review...I am very very satisfied and I will continue to make the drive to Bloomington and follow Ali wherever she goes! Thank you!!!

I have gone to Brandi many times to have highlights, low lights and hair cuts. ( I was so scare about having my long hair cut,) I had a photo of the kind of cut I wanted and I thought it would look very nice on me. Brandi did a wonderful job with my cut, and I am so PLEASED. By the way, my hair looks just like the photo that I took in for her to see. Since that day, I will let no one but Brandi cut my hair. I have found someone that I TRUST with my hair. Oh yes, my highlights are just perfect. What more can I say, Great Service and Friendly people. I believe that is what we are all looking for when it comes to finding a great business, and I think Hair Techniques Salon is all about that. (typical4blonde)

Glenda has been my stylist for at least 7 years now, and I absolutely not only adore her, but LOVE what she can do with my hair! And in doing what she does with my hair, boost my self-esteem. So, not only am I getting a new "do", I am getting therapy with each visit! I am always made to feel more than welcome, and given 5 star treatment! I have moved away from Bloomington, and occasionally have to go to someone new, but I always try and get in to see Glenda for the "real do deal" whenever possible!

Went in for an eyebrow wax and asked the stylist to not take away thickness and to maintain the arch (I just wanted to clean them up before spring break.) Now, my eyebrows are the thinnest they have ever been and not even the same. She didnt clean off the excess wax and barely talked to me the whole time. The setting wasnt warm, with fluorescent lighting and no music. However, the staff were friendly and my eyebrows do look clean. Overall, dissatisfied.

I just visited this salon yesterday..Very warm very friendly from the moment I walked in! Ashley is AWESOME!! My hair looks amazing..she truly is an artist and so fun and friendly. .put me right at ease and I felt refreshed and relaxed when I walked out the door..I have never had such a positive relaxing salon experience. I will be going back to Ashley and have already recommended her and the salon to friends and family!!

Brandi does a great job finding out exactly what I have in mind for my cut and color, and she makes helpful suggestions too. I have some very thin spots that she was able to hide by the way she cut my hair. I actually like my hair now and I am really glad to have found her! The salon adds nice touches too like warm scented towels. Brandi is very good at the scalp and neck massage that she does when she washes my hair.

Ive been seeing Shanna at Hair Techniques for about 2 years now. She came recommended to me because at the time I had an angled bob and was told she "cut the straightest angles in the MidWest" ha ha! I went to her once and was smitten. Ive been seeing her every 6 weeks since. She and the entire staff are super friendly and do a great job. I always leave happy and she gives amazing product recommendations! :)

This place is great. I gave 4 stars because of the price. Its very expensive. But the girl I had GLENDA , she squeezed me in when I showed up without an appointment last minute. Got me in, in 10 minutes and gave me the best hair cut Ive ever had. Lots of beautiful layers, when she was done my whole face looked better. I will emphasize on how expensive it is though. It really is pricey.

I have had my hair done by Glenda for years. Nails done by Stephanie and Shanna. Marissa gives the most amazing massages. Best in the world! They are all wonderful. Casey the receptionist is the best. She makes sure that you have been taken care of. This is hands down the best salon in Bloomington.
