my daughter was here for less than one day in the infant room. When i dropped her off the teacher was so nice. I should have known when they told me I could lay her in another childs crib since her crib was in the room next door that didnt have a teacher yet. Then I saw a crock pot being used as a bottle warmer. This also concerned me as breast milk bottles shouldnt be getting too hot or the nutrient will be destroyed. When i came to pick her up she was in a bouncy chair crying, as well as 3 other babies with the two workers trying to feed other babies. My biggest issue is that neither teacher asked for assistance when they were clearly struggling. I was then lectured about the nipple size on my daughters bottle and how her feeding messed up all the other childrens schedule. Its her FIRST DAY, there are new people and things of course things are going to take longer. Needless to say I left the place in tears and never went back. We now have a nanny and start Primrose next week.

I have been with Abacus for many years and absolutely love everything about it. My children have thrived and are now excelling in school and I owe much of it to the dedicated staff and understanding management. Any concerns I have had have been addressed immediately and I could always tell that they had the best interest of the children at heart! In addition to the normal daily activites, I always enjoyed participating in the extra parent and child events they sponsor every year, like the Mothers Day Breakfast, Halloween Carnival, Parents Night Out (my favorite!) just to name a few. My children still talk about the Halloween Carnival and how much fun they had. It is also a great relief that they never close for bad weather, or have a delay, so that I can get to work knowing my children are safe and secure, and that I do not have to find alternate care for those situations. I do not see why anyone would choose any other place to take their kids. Their longevity speaks for itself.

Only because I had to give it a rating--POOR customer service! My mom went in to tour the school on my behalf and was met with someone who was rude and discourteous and started the conversation off by saying, well, we dont have any openings until the beginning of the year. When I inquired I was told the following: Angela, Our current FT rate is $279 and includes diapers, wipes, jar food, rice/oatmeal cereal. Our FT rate for a 3 year old is $211. I am not certain that I will have an opening for the infant. Let me know if you are still interested and I will see what I can do. Going to Primrose and will just wait to get in...You could not pay me to send my kids here. If the first face I see is someone with attitude like that, I cant imagine how that place is run...PASS!

Service isnt the best, I really expected better for the price etc. The girls at the desk were not the friendliest. I was also advised I couldnt be given a packet of information or application unless I knew for sure I was going to start my child there. That was a big turn off, hey I recycle, Im all about being conservative but my husband & I need to be able to look everything over before making decisions, that includes paperwork. (After all this is our child)
