I began taking lessons at DIMENSIONS SCHOOL OF SOCIAL DANCE in their original Chesterton location more than five years ago. As the owner and chief instructor, Danielle Karczewski has consistently demonstrated her unique ability to customize a lesson plan for each of her students that will enable singles or couples of any age the ability to get out on the dance floor and truly enjoy dancing in a surprisingly short period of time; without the burden of extensive, rigidly-structured programs. New students frequently say that although they never got around to it, they have always really wanted to learn how to dance. They soon discover that at DIMENSIONS, ‘learning to dance’ is not nearly as difficult as they thought it would be, and it is A LOT MORE FUN than they could have ever possibly imagined it would be! It’s great to be with a wide variety of people of different ages and backgrounds sharing time and having fun on the dance floor. I’m 66, so I’m certainly not pretending to be young. I am, however, absolutely refusing to be old! Danielle has guided me on a journey that has resulted in great personal satisfaction with… and a remarkable degree of accomplishment in… the Art of The Dance. I just wanted to take a minute to speak about the gem Chesterton has in Dimensions School of Dance. I was selected to compete in Dancing With the Stars. I am sure that I am not an easy student, but Danielle put up with me, and really challenged me. At one point I wanted to quit and she made it fun. I appreciated that and we went on to win “The Peoples Choice Award!” I could stop there, she taught, we danced, we won. That would be selling Dimensions way too short. The entire staff was extremely supportive. People of all ages were there and all the instructors encouraged every dancer. They were also great my schedule since I travel for business. I have purchased a gift certificate for friends and will be back as a civilian having fun with my wife. If you are in any way interested in dance, then by all means start with Dimensions! Danielle and her team are awesome!
