We held our wedding reception at The Ballroom and took several private dance lessons here to prepare for our wedding dance. I have been ballroom dancing for about 7-8 years, but my wife (fiancé at the time) had no dance experience. I have never seen an instructor, Steven, so attentive in making sure that there was a strong connection between us in the dance. In just a few lessons, I felt that my lead had improved drastically when trying to lead a beginner (and also more advanced dancers). More importantly, my wife felt very comfortable and confident about our wedding dance. We specifically asked not to teach us a routine; we wanted it to feel authentic. He taught us to not worry so much about steps, but to focus on each other and have a connection to allow the lead and follow to occur naturally. I cannot recommend him and the Ballroom enough. It is a totally different experience than other ballroom dance studios or classes that Ive been to. Also, the Friday night parties were very useful for practicing what we learned. As to the reception: Steven was an excellent MC/DJ, very responsive to our needs and plans for the reception, and was willing to go above and beyond what one might expect from a reception venue. Both the private dance lessons and renting the space for the reception were very reasonably priced. Go check it out!

My fiancé and I took 4 dance lessons from Steven at Studio Live 2 Dance (formerly the Ballroom in Green Hills) on White Bridge Pike. The new studio location is really cool- it has a big dance floor, high ceilings, and a gorgeous crystal chandelier. Steven is very personable and made learning our wedding dance easy and fun! He is honest (in a good way) and will emphasize what you are doing right while pointing out what needs tweaking and practice. We learned the basics of rumba, bolero, and swing. Steven provided excellent instruction and lots of laughs during our lessons, and we are so excited to dance at our wedding. We also feel confident to dance at future social events with our new dance skills. We are hoping to attend the Wednesday night beginner classes at Studio Live 2 Dance after the wedding because we had so much fun! For anyone looking to try dancing for the first time, gain experience from a pro, or simply try something fun and new, give Studio Live 2 Dance a visit!

After having been a student of World Champion Productions for about 6mo, I felt incredibly fed up and burnt out on dancing - the "packages", the membership, the exorbitant prices - and started shopping for a new studio because I still wanted to dance. Thats when I stumbled upon The Ballroom and Steven and to say that he is a breath of fresh air is a MASSIVE understatement! Everything is simple, up front and totally transparent - AND NO SALES PITCHES! Steven teaches based on my skill level, not some crappy package/level system, he has a great sense of humor, and makes each lesson not only jam-packed with knowledge, but just plain fun! I look forward to being a student of his for many years to come!

My fiancee and I completed three dance lessons to get a foundation for our wedding. Steven, our instructor, was an expert teacher and found ways to break down concepts into an extremely easy style of movement rather than memorized choreography. He possesses a warm and easygoing style that made it a joy to learn. On top of our lessons, he actually edited a version of our song with cues we practiced. Ill heartily recommend him and the Ballroom to anyone looking for wedding dance lessons or just a good time with friends. My only regret is not having the time to attend one of their open dance nights!

I so appreciate his fresh perspective and the way he communicates with his students/classes. Another bonus? The very talented dancers (Steven, Alex and Troy to name a few) are so gracious and fun with us "more mature ladies", making us smile, look great and feel marvelous when we dance. Steven was amazing. My (now) wife and I wanted to take a few lessons to loosely coordinate our first dance as husband and wife and Steven absolutely delivered. The 4 lesson wedding package was perfect. I am admittedly a horrible dancer with zero experience and went into this very skeptical. He was a great teacher. He really knows how to relate dancing to pretty much anything you can think of. Overall great experience and HIGHLY recommend.

We took the pre-wedding dance instruction, and the instructor imparted knowledge of not only how to dance at the wedding, but also a good deal of wedding advice as well. My wife and I have been to the Ballroom several times and had a great time each time we went! The instructors are very good and make dancing very easy for us. I do not have ANY dancing experience, and yet I find myself dancing the night away while there. We even used Steven for some private lessons before our wedding!

The Ballroom - Green Hills is THE place to grow as a dancer and as a person. The Friday Night Parties are "grown up" and laid back. The dance instructors know how to teach and partner. Ive seen dramatic improvements in my dancing. And, to top it all off, the space is beautiful.
