I visited Family Video yesterday and also noticed a horrible smell, I thought I was imagining it but now since someone else says it as well it was really gross. Also this store was very busy yesterday but when I walked in no one even looked up to greet me I mean seriously it is so hard to smile at your customers or is just ingrained in your nature to not like your job? It also took like 5 mins of standing at the counter in front of who Im pretty sure was the manager, since she was wearing dress clothes, of even getting my question answered. It took 10 seconds to answer my question and you couldnt take the time from stacking up your movies to even look at your customer. I think Ill stick with whatever is on TV before I go back into Family Video.

Just wanted to do a review on The Family Video 3100 N 1st Ave, Evansville, IN. First of all this is not the family video that I normally use. I went to the first ave store because the covert family video didnt have the season 2 and 3 of Mad Men which I recently got hooked on. The first ave store had both 2nd and 3rd season. Even though I had to go through the whole registering for a new account again, the guy behind the counter was really friendly and made the whole process quicker. They had what I needed and the counter guy was very pleasant. He actually use to work at the video store that I normally go to and even recognized me from there. That was cool. larryj

The store has a REAL BAD PROBLEM with movies, this is the second time they called me to say I didnt return a movie back! Either they have a poor way in checking movies back in or one of their trusted employees is STEALING THEM...The lady told me next time make sure I bring them in to get checked in, but I think I wont be coming back to this one, they just lost another customer!!! So BEWARE if you rent from here.....You might get charged for a movie even if you returned them!! VERY BAD FOR BUSINESS FAMILY VIDEO GET IT TOGETHER AND FIND THAT MOLE......

Rented a movie, employee noticed a dent in DVD and sent it home with my wife instead of checking if it worked. We tried playing on two different systems and when returning suggested that it might not have worked because of fingerprints. Not excited about having to make two trips to watch a movie that should have worked in the first place.

Store employees dont seem to care, always seem to have something better to do. Store is ALWAYS a mess and good luck getting someone to walk out from behind their counter to help out.....just not for me.

Good place to rent movies, not to updated, but they do have some good ones. Their rates are pretty cheap, and the staff is pretty friendly
