My husband has been a loyal customer of this franchise for sometime now. He has Melissa cut his hair. She does a great job. I recently started taking my son to this establishment because we found someone who did an awesome cut on my son, Lori. Since we have two kids under four I decided to schedule a haircut for both my husband and son three days out. The morning of, it was pouring rain. We loaded the kids up in the truck. Melissa the manager was there. She proceeded to tell us Lori wasnt in because she had texted that morning about her mom having a hip replacement. Lori did not call to cancel her appointment or ask someone else to. Melissa decided to not call either. She let us load two children up in pouring rain, drive all the way there, get out in the pouring rain, to look at us and tell us Lori didnt show up and some other girl could cut his hair. Wait. What? We as customers cancel or pay for a missed appointment, but the hairstylist can just skip out without calling their customers? Do you think Melissa talked with Lori about what she needs to do when she decides to come in late? Or that maybe she should call me back and apologise to a visibly upset customer? Nope. You know how I know this because of what follows. The story continues. After leaving upset, and recieveing no call I decided to call back and see if Lori had arrived. She did and I asked to talk with her. She really is an awesome stylist and has a great sassy personality. She got on the phone and was immediately defensive, and knew what had happened. She didnt take responsibility at all. She didnt apologuse. In her mind it was fine to leave a customer hanging without any consideration for them because "She" had something going on and no one told her to call me back. What? This is a women in her 40s that has been doing hair how long? After I got off the phone I decided to call back to see if she could squeeze my son in this evening since I scheduled his appointment for his Spring Sing the next morning. Oh no, Miss Lori couldnt do that. She had a scheduled appointment, when I continued by saying but you didnt... She then proceeded to yell at me for doing what the manager should have done. She ended with "Ive FIRED you as a customer." Wait what!!???? You, Lori, didnt call me and let me know you wouldnt make your appointment, you Lori, didnt take responsibility for your actions, you Lori, didnt have your manager cancel your appointment, you Lori, didnt try your best to correct your wrong! Instead you yelled at me and fired me. This didnt end but only left me calling back, to Gail answering the phone. When I asked for Melissa (the manager) she was ironically busy. Then I asked Gail who the owner was and she said it was Jess. Okay, what is Jesss number? I think she deserves to know what is going on at her establishment. Now, do you think Gail gave me the owners number after hearing how a client was yelled at and treated on the phone by a hairstylist? No. You know why? Because this is a tribe of women who will continue to protect each other even if what has been done is wrong. For someone at any business to talk or treat a customer like that you would think the manager would immediately take over, apologise and try to make up for the mistake. This didnt happen. Please, do not support a business that does not take accountability for their actions, a business that treats a customer with such disrespect. I am honestly appalled. I am appalled for Jess the owner. I am appalled for this barber shop that actually does a decent job cutting hair. I am appalled at the manager who let this happen. I am appauled at the hairstylist who didnt take responsibity for her job. I am appalled at the person who answered the phone and decided to stand by and support this treatment hearing in her voice she knew it was wrong. And most of all I am appalled for Big League Barbers franshise. Is this how your company wants to be represented? Please, do not support a company that accepts this treatment towards their customers.

A well run establishment, and awesome ladies! Lori has cut my childrens hair for years...they love her! She has gone out of her way many times to accommodate our schedule, and seems to score the kids. My son (9) wont let anyone else touch his hair. She does an amazing job on us big kids too!
