G. Michael Salon...oh where do I start...I was so excited to go here...when I walked in I saw smiling faces, smelled citrusy (not like chemicals and burning hair like other salons), the decor was great! Joe is friendly, helpful and knowledgable as well as Lauren. If I had to use one quote to sum up the G. Michael Salon..."To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world" This quote sums up how the G. Michael Salon treats you-very special. I have been to other salons and they rush you out of the chair just to put another client in the chair, they are the opposite! Sorry, I am so excited...back to smiling faces..they took my purse, coat and keys, offered me a drink and introduced themselves. We then sat down in the chair and Lauren was so informative and helpful when it came to options, all the while giving me a oil scalp massage (amazing) then massaged my neck and shoulders...again very relaxed which makes me relaxed. I have had some very bad experiences with other salons...but Lauren took that hesitation away. When we went to the shampoo bowl..she took my glasses which has never happened before! Other stylists have just allowed my glasses to be splashed with water or protect my eyes from the shampoo that they could not seem to keep in the bowl...Thank you G. Michael Salon...and my stylist, Lauren for knowing how to shampoo without having to give me another towel for my face!!! The water temp. was perfect, again taking her time...not rushing me to the chair. The shampoo smells of cake batter and is all organic as are all of there products...my hair felt amazing even wet!!! We sat in the chair and my experience with G. Michael Salon kept getting better...The steps they take to ensure your hair is healthy and you are happy are one of a kind. My hair was done and I could not have felt more gorgeous...because I felt it and they all make you feel it!! I have always had to talk myself into liking my hair with other salons work...but not here!! I felt sexy and wanted to show it off to everyone!!! I would reccommend the G. Michael Salon to any and everyone wanting to have an amazing salon experience. I have already raved about the salon to my family and friends...and that is why I am typing...the raving must continue!!! I cannot wait for my next appointment.

Im so happy with my hair cut and all of my experiences at G Michael Salon that I must write a review! Greg, Joe, Sam & Lauren are all so fabulous. They are warm and welcoming every time I visit the salon (which is often as I have very short hair). Ive never been to a salon that took the time to introduce me to all the employees during my first appointment. Everyone has been so endearing. They are very friendly, nice and always strive to be hospitable. The employees never fail to offer to take my purse, my coat, my earring, etc. and to offer me a drink. Its so nice to be put at ease. The new location of the salon is very convenient. The decor and atmosphere is a very clean, lean, funky, modern look that is stylish and hip. Love the music choices too. The sort of care the owners put into the surroundings exemplifies the type of care you receive as a client. This type of attention to detail makes it a fun and an exciting "event" for me to go get my monthly hair cut! Its really something I look forward to every few weeks. What can I say about Greg? He is a master stylist and it shows. Always a consummate professional, Greg is intent on providing me with a fabulous haircut - - every time I visit. I love the results he gets, but I love the process too! He never rushes me and I always feel pampered...especially after I relax as he takes the time to give me a scalp, shoulder and hand massage! And, its just an added bonus that my hair feels so healthy too! Finally, I have to comment on Joe. He is an amazing ambassador for the salon. He works hard to make the salon run right and its all appears to be so seamless. I really get excited by the enthusiasm and energy he puts into his work. So, there it is. A wonderful review for G Michael Salon - a wonderful salon that is run by some terrific people! I cannot say enough about this great salon, its stylists and all their staff! Thanks for everything and keep up the good work!

I have been to G Michael Salon quite a few times and I always see the same person and we always have had enough time... this time was different and I wish I would have left before it even started. I showed my stylist a picture and she told me because I unknowingly scheduled a touch up, she couldnt do what I wanted. She instead told me what she wanted to do... I went over it with her a few times and she told me after we were done today, I would need to come back in in a few weeks to do more. This struck me as odd. We had three hours... weve done what I wanted in three hours before... why was this time different? When she finished "brushing the color through my hair" which I wasnt impressed with... she then was told by another stylist to blow dry the girls hair next to her. I sat and waited... so not awful so far but not great either. She does a shampoo and a half ass hand massage and we go back. She cuts and blow dries my hair and IT LOOKS THE EXACT SAME. Still super dark on top... nothing different. All I wanted was highlights!!! This took 2.5 hours!! I ask her after she finishes cutting to cut my bangs a bit shorter... she did but not as much as I would have liked. I pay $120 with tip so $150... for what though? A cut and to curl my hair? I got in my car and cried and cried and cried. I got home and cut my own bangs. I have two weddings the next two weeks and Im so upset with my hair I cant see straight. I wanted highlights... I didnt know it took 3 hours to do highlights... oh thats right, it doesnt! There are very few times I have been this upset after a haircut... I cant believe it. I like my stylist but I get soooo turned off when hair stylists dont listen to what I want with my own hair!!!!!!! I get theyre creative but just listen to me! I dont think Ill be back, it was a HUGE disappointment.

I have finally found a great salon in the Indianapolis metro area! For the past two years, I have really been missing my salon in Seattle. I have hopped around many of the nicer salons in the Indy area trying to find a good fit here, but nothing really stood out. I had my hair cut by Greg at the G Michael Salon today. Greg had some great ideas for my hair regarding products, blow drying tips, and color/cut/styling. I have naturally curly hair that I blow out and flat iron, so a good cut is very important to me. My haircut looks fantastic, and I am so impressed with the texture of my hair. I am excited to have Greg color my hair on my next visit. I should also mention that they offer online booking via their website...huge plus in my book! I received an e-mail and text message confirming my appointment and reminding me...and I received my receipt via e-mail right after my appointment. I really appreciate the convenience and professionalism of these features! My husband also his first visit at the G Michael salon last week. It was the best haircut he has received in years. We both LOVE this salon! I have been hoping to find a salon of this caliber in Indianapolis, so I am thrilled. The other staff members were also very warm and welcoming. If you are looking for a high quality salon in the Indy area, please dont hesitate to try the G Michael salon!
