Im confused about all the negative reviews for this location. People have to stop getting angry over charges to their account and the cancellation process. Do you think gym memberships are free? They give you everything you need to know about canceling your account in the sign-up contracts. If you are a responsible adult, you are aware that reading the fine print is imperative to understanding your membership rights. They give you the information on a silver platter. It is not managements fault if you neglect to read through this information they provide you. Now, to get to MY review of the gym....My boyfriend and I signed up together on the same day. Britt Strong was the advisor that signed us up and gave us a tour. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and never came on too strong with a sales-pitch. He made us feel really at home and gave us every opportunity to ask questions. We are so pleased with the customer service. Every time we call, someone answers right away and you can tell they have a smile on their face. The personal trainers are another topic I would like to mention. Neki and Michal were so knowledgeable and sincere about our fitness goals. We are really excited to start working with them. The facility is so clean ( as I was working out on my first day, I witnessed many employees tending to the gym trash cans and etc.) and the locker rooms are too. I was a member at LA Fitness for ONE day. I spent $400 on a Friday for personal training and a membership. When I showed up for my first session the NEXT day, the trainer had gone home because all of his earlier appts had cancelled. No one called me before to let me know, and no one called me after to apologize. So the next day I cancelled my year-long contract that I had signed and immediately called Lifetime. I am SO glad it worked out that way. The facility and its amenities are so amazing. Thank you to all the people who helped sign us up! We are happy and excited to get into shape! All the unhappy reviews are from people who obviously do not know how to handle situations like an adult. This is real life people. Get with it!

The gym is good for the most part as far as equipment. Coming to do super sets? Forget about it. People jump on equipment so quick. Locker rooms are kept clean but gym is always a mess. People never rerack weight/dumbbells or put away equipment so everything is left out and its hard to tell if someone is using a bench/machine. My issue is with the childcare, which is the main reason we went with Lifetime Fitness. I really cant justify leaving my child with careless employees who are either in the wrong field or just see the job as a paycheck. Ive been in a few times now to let my little one adjust to the new setting and every time I leave speechless by the way they treat children. Kids are repeatedly told they are fine when crying because they want out of a swing or some other baby intrapment. Especially when its close to closing time and they are choosing to clean so they dont have to after children are gone. I usually change my child before I drop off but after a bottle has been finished, so the few times I have picked up, my little one had been sitting in a wet diaper. The girls seem annoyed when I come back in because theyve had to hold my child the entire time. Instead of repeating your fine to children, maybe you should ensure all their needs are met.. that is what you are getting paid to do. So maybe a clean diaper, seeing if they want water or... OR MAYBE since you have a job providing care for children, engage with them! Sit down and talk to them, read, cuddle, sing. Anything besides sit in the check in area with 2-3 other staff members talking. Its so unprofessional. Whoever is in charge of the program should be ashamed. Ugh it makes me so angry.

If only I could give 0 stars... Do not join this gym. This gym is great if you like overpriced and crowded gyms. I can usually live with that. Unfortunately, when it is time to cancel you have to pay an extra month and around $30 a person in cancellation fees. Fine. Since I cancelled, I have been charged over $350 in membership fees! I mailed in my cancellation, I called in to confirm it was cancelled. Cancellation confirmed. I get billed the next month. I call in and dont receive a response back for weeks. I am advised to resend a cancellation letter and that money will be refunded. They receive the letter, no money refunded and I am billed for another month. This is the worst gym I have ever been to.. and I have been a member at a lot of gyms! The people who work at this gym do not care about anyone. They act like they are doing YOU a huge favor for anything they do. They are rude liars and thieves. Literally! Bottom line: This gym should be out of business. Not only are they the worst gym I have been to, they are in my opinion the most corrupt, unethical, lying company I have ever dealt with! I strongly believe their goal is to take every penny away from every member! They even admitted to me that mishaps with cancellations happen A LOT!! I WONDER HOW MUCH MONEY THEY HAVE TAKEN FROM PEOPLE!! Join this gym if: you like being around grouchy frowning people all day, like crowded overpriced gyms, and enjoy being lied to and monetarily raped

Policy for canceling super inflexible. I gave a full months notice, as I was told to do. On Dec 1st, I said this is my last month. I then learned that its not one months notice, it is one month and a day...so I would have needed to tell them on Nov 30th. I signed up in mid-October and made it very clear I was only going to be in Indy for a few months. The membership advisor made canceling seem easy - just give a months notice. She should have pointed out that in the contract it is super particular. The team at Lifetime was unwilling to work with me, so I have to pay for the entire month of January, as well. No TVs on Cardio Equipment (YMCA in Fishers has this, which I didnt learn until after I joined LFT. When joining, the adviser had told me no one in Indy had this. Not so.) You have to have an FM Tuner to listen to the TVs they do have...they dont have the sound plugins on the cardio machines. TVs are only in two areas and not spread out through the cardio equiioment, so unless you get there early, you may not be able to get on a machine you want that is close enough to the TVs to read the close captioning (which you need to do if you dont use a device with a FM tuner...like a shuffle) Stretching area very limited. After being in Indy for a few months, I learned about a lot of other gyms that have great amenities and are a lot cheaper. I would not join Lifetime if I moved back to Indy.
