I signed up for Planet Fitness in July, I ended up falling outside my parents house and had a significant ankle injury, 2 months later Im finally getting around to using my membership. My initial reaction when I walked in was that it looked like a nice place. Cleanly and orderly. I spoke to the girl at the front desk and explained I had signed up for a membership online and had never been there before. She simply gave me a tag to put on my key chain, told me how to scan in and out, explained to me about purchasing a lock for a locker and left me be on my way. She didnt offer me the free shirt I was promised when I signed up, I had to ask her for it. I got no tour, no training on how to use any equipment or machines. Nothing... I was left standing there feeling very uncomfortable. I like to think that I am a person of average intelligence, but most of these machines I am clueless about. A 5 minute tour would have been helpful, any kind of explanation or guidance would have been greatly appreciated.

I signed up a the PF last year when I lived in Madison, WI, because I work weekends and I work late. Their "24/7" hours were perfect for me. So just finding out the Dubuque, IA, location closes at 7pm on weekends puts a really sour taste in my mouth! Also, the Madison location had AMAZING showers in the locker rooms. They were very clean, and even had a rain-style shower head along with a small wall shower head on both sides of the shower stall. The Dubuque locations showers were tiny, dirty, and the shower curtains were almost all scummy with tears, and all were too small to close all the way. Needless to say Im going somewhere else that is ACTUALLY "24/7"

Im a disabled combat veteran and my fellow disabled veteran service dog was denied entry unless we violated the HIPA and privacy act. They violated the federal law (The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) by asking for a copy of her service dogs paperwork which has her owners medical problems on it which breaks there federal laws (HIPA act, Privacy act, and the Americans with disabilities Act of 1990). Im not happy with how they treated us as disabled combat veterans and will be talking to military veterans societies and lawyers.

Love this gym! Abby was the one who got me signed up and she made sure to show me the ropes, making sure I know which machines are what. Any time I come in, the staff is super helpful. I was really impressed that Abby actually remembered me by name and is always sure to ask me how Im doing and say things like "nice workout," or "great work today" and its really encouraging. I dont think any other gym would feel as welcoming or fun. Ive already brought five of my friends here.

A worker with brown hair riding on her high horse was talking about a friend and I, and I heard her say that its disgusting from at least 15 feet away to another co-worker. I thought it was supposed to be a judgement free zone, but instead others heard her unkind words about us and we left uncomfortable and upset. Not even one star, just wouldnt let me post without rating.

This place is excellent, especially for the price/hours/beds they have. People with negative reviews expect a staff member to hold their hands and show them the 100+ pieces of equipment? Just ask them, or simply look at the directions that every machine has posted on how to do the movement..

I love this place! Its perfect for people like me who work 2nd shift and prefer to workout after work. Ive tried to sign up for other 24 hour gyms but the only times they were staffed I was working. So planet fitness always being staffed is a huge plus. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Closed when ever I want to work out... Anytime fitness is 20 more bucks a month. 20 bucks is a small price to pay to not have to deal with open and closed hours. They say its hydromassage equipment, but the whole gym could be open later.

I love going but I wish the hrs would be doing for the weeks from Fri - Sunday be 24hrs and the week days have short hours.. Just for those people that have time on the weekends and cant go to later but arent able to :) just a thought..

The staff is always willing to teach you how to use equipment that your unsure of, and they always seem so happy to see you! It makes working out feel less intimidating. The facility is super clean and organized. I love PF!

Terrible company, they dont tell you about the hidden fees when you sign. The sales people completely lied to me. They said $10 per month with $1 sign up. And they get automatically taken out of your account.

Terrible coustomer service. Took away there authorization to take my money and still withdraw. Like really. And they arnt open that long on the weekends wen I get off work. By the time I get there there closed.

Love this place. Well worth the 20$ a month. Unlimited guest passes, tanning, hydro massages<3 and of course lots of workout equipment. Very friendly & helpful staff. Would definitely recommend it to friends!

Just like every planet fitness I have been to, this one is staffed with super friendly people. The gym itself is clean, with no odors. Their hours are bit goofy on the weekend, but it isnt a big deal.
