For the first few years of our son’s life, he was cared for at an exceptional in home day care that we were very attached to. He received loving care and was exposed to fantastic learning opportunities and a small number of children his own age with which to interact. After much long consideration we decided a few years ago that our son would benefit from a larger daycare environment. We searched for a center with a solid pre-school program that would provide an experience that would more closely resemble a school. We wanted him to have the opportunity to experience interaction with more children to provide all of the social training that it can provide. We visited and researched a number of daycare centers and then found Kindercare in Pleasant Hill. It was clean and welcoming. The staff seemed very nice and had a great deal of experience. We were concerned in the beginning about how personal his experience would be in relation to his prior in-home experience. There was no need for this concern. Our experience has been excellent from the beginning. The whole staff is caring and attentive and very consistently provides the positive reinforcement and an appropriate level of discipline. The curriculum is fun and very effective for school preparation. This past year with Miss. Samantha was particularly amazing. She is an engaging teacher and very attentive care-giver. She was so fantastic at communicating with us any variations in behavior. We feel she really worked with our son on his specific strengths and weaknesses. It was obvious that she cared a great deal about the children and our son loved her! I do not feel that enough credit is given to care givers about their importance in the lives of our children. The Kindercare staff, especially Miss Samantha has been a real partner in parenting to us. Our son is confident and is educationally and emotionally prepared for his first year of school in great part as a result of his time at Kindercare.

We have been using KinderCare for our childcare since our oldest was 10 weeks old and currently have three kids enrolled (4 year old, 2 year old and a 7 month old). While it can be hard to be working parents, we are at ease each day when we drop everyone off at KinderCare as we know they are in a safe environment and the teachers truly care about our kids and want to help them learn, grow and just have fun being a kid! It is nice that each of them get to interact and socialize with kids their age and do learning activities that are age appropriate. They have monthly curriculum and do crafts, sing songs, read books and do other activities relating to the theme. It is not uncommon for family dinners to be filled with conversation about all the fun things everyone did at KinderCare during the day including talking about some of the new things they learned and what friends they played with! We also really appreciate the director, Wendy. She is always has a smile on her face and willing to help in any way she can. She is passionate about her role making the environment the best possible place for the children, including hiring great teachers. It is not uncommon for her to ask what they can do to get better, she definitely has a growth mindset and is always looking to improve! Thanks to everyone at KinderCare for being an extension of our family!

The teachers here are amazing and love every one of the kids. They do everything to keep them safe, happy and healthy. They teach them manners and how to take care of themselves just as we do at home on top of the normal schooling. My kids have food allergies and they are very attentive to that. Every day they scrub the place down thoroughly to help with the germs kids are known to spread around and always make sure to inform us if there are any viruses or other things going around so we can be prepared. They handle themselves with poise when presented with helicopter parents and difficult situations. I couldnt ask for better environment or group of care givers to help raise and take care of my babies.
