Very unprofessional--do not contact if you want your house painted. My wife called Johnny a couple of weeks ago to schedule an appointment for an estimate on our home interior. Johnny missed the appointment, which should have been our first clue. Nevertheless, when she called him, he apologized and gave us an estimate over the phone and set up a date to begin painting. We bought the paint for the house that weekend. We scheduled the painting for a Wednesday. The Tuesday before the painter was supposed to paint the house, Johnny *emailed* my wife (instead of calling us) to tell us that the painter was sick and would not be able paint the house that Tuesday. This was despite the fact that the painter was scheduled the next day, Wednesday, not Tuesday. My wife and called and emailed Johnny dozens of times with no response. Once when I called, Johnny accidentally answered the phone, and seemed to be having a boisterous conversation in the background--this was at the time he was scheduled to be painting my house. Anyway, we wound up hiring one of the other half dozen reputable painting companies in town, and Johnny had neither the professionalism nor the common courtesy to return our multiple calls, texts, or emails. Do yourself a favor and avoid 225 Painting--there are plenty of working professionals in Baton Rouge who will actually show up for the job. Edited: Are serious in this response, 225 Paint? We had an estimate done on a house near LSUs campus on a living room and kitchen. You talked to my wife about how your daughter is an English teacher, too. And now youre accusing me of leaving a "bogus" review? I guess thats as good an excuse for your unprofessional behavior as any. If youre going around lying about the negative reviews posted about you on the internet, I hardly think that the positive reviews posted on your website are representative of your customers experiences. So unprofessional conduct coupled with an outright fabrication about a negative reviewer? Some believer!

We contracted John DeAngelo and 225 House Painting to remodel the exterior of our home. We needed a complete exterior paint job, repairs to the wood siding, new columns under the car port, new exterior storage room doors, and two interior ceilings painted. John came to our house to give us a free estimate. The next day, he sent us a very detailed contract that not only listed all the work to be done, it clearly explained his warranty and work ethics. We spoke on the phone and through email several times to work out the details. John always responded within half a day and was easy to talk to. John offered help in choosing our exterior paint colors and explained the different types of paint we could use. He repeatedly went the extra mile to take care of unexpected issues that came up. We decided that we also wanted the concrete porch and walkways sealed. John not only arranged this on short notice for a reasonable price, he even brought over color samples for us to look at. His crew always arrived early and worked hard throughout the day. They were very detail oriented and did not cut corners. They were also very polite and helpful. Our house literally looks 20 years newer. The results were much better than we had expected. We’re proud of our house and the neighbors like the new look, too. Thank you, 225 House Painting!

I hired Michael Anderson to Caulk/paint. After $500.00 my porch has not been completed with caulk much less any paint. Micheal stated he worked for 225 painting. They were supposed to have called him out to Baton Rouge from Florida. He was looking for side jobs. I called the number he had on the signs he posted in my yard. Johnny answered the phone and returned my phone call. I have records. He gave Michael a good reference. Now 225 painting is stating Michael Anderson never worked for them. But yet they have a review of his on their website that they have not disputed where he states Johnny called him out to Baton Rouge because of his "great" reputation. When I called 225 again and spoke to Darren/Darell (dont remember his name) he stated to me they did use Michael at one time and he was not a professional painter and only worked one job with them. But even after not using him they continued to give references on him as if he continue to work for them.

My dad and I have known Johnny for years, he called me out to Baton Rouge to work after the flood. He knew our reputation for honesty & quality in Florida, and I knew he had the same good name here! I have seen nothing but good, dependable work from all his men, and Johnny has been so honest with all his customers, losing money if he has to, to keep his word. It makes me mad that people can just say bad things online about this man, because they are fired employees, or just one of those people you can NEVER make happy. Please take the time to request the list of SATISFIED customers from him, we have added several names to that list since Ive been here, and will bend over backwards to add YOUR name :)

I have known Johnny personally and professionally for the past 14 years, and can honestly say he is one of the very best human beings I have ever known. Honest and generous to a fault, Johnny always bends over backwards to please; a perfectionist, his work is uniformly top-notch, thorough, and meticulously executed, and he accepts no less from his talented workers. I am not merely a friend of Johnnys, I am a past co-worker, and more recently a customer when I hired 225 Painting to work in my flood-ravaged home and restore it to pristine condition, right on budget and even ahead of schedule. An excellent, excellent job!

Called john after the flood for a quote. He came out that day and beat my other quotes by a good 25%. He had his crew onsite before the end of the week. They were very professional. They were very respectful, hard working, and punctual. The crew did a great job even fixed some mistakes the carpenters made. Over all this was the best crew of works Ive had the pleasure of working with since the flood.

Awful work and awful professionalism! I have pictures of the work that was done and not completed even 9 months later. I will be glad to give anyone who wants to use this worthless company photos and emails between myself and the owner that is completely ridiculous. I am far from done with him and what he owes me.
