I never write reviews, but this place is the most incompetent business I have ever encountered. This entire process and dealing with these liars has put more stress on me than ever. My insurance company sent me to Owens after a hit and run. My door was smashed in, window was shattered, but my car drove perfectly. After A MONTH, they called my mom (who was the helping deal with this since I am in school and work full time) and told her was something was wrong with the ignition and my car wouldnt start. They claimed it wasnt accident related so my insurance wouldnt cover it. My mom told them to hold on to the car while we made a decision about it. The next day, my mom called them only to find out that my car was towed to Team Honda UNAUTHORIZED to get everything fixed there, and Owens was demanding we pay the towing fee AND the extra costs that supposedly my insurance would not cover. When confronted, they ignored our questions saying, "Our telling you that there were additional problems gave us permission to tow it. This wasnt our fault, Honda ignitions stop working all the time, its just a coincidence that it stopped when it got here, it’s not related to the accident, etc" Along with this, they also kicked my grandparents out of their business for asking too many questions and (rightfully) accusing them of being shady. They also told them they only had authorization to talk to me, even though my grandpa is the co-owner of my car. A worker also insulted my grandma by openly mocking her. I called my insurance company and told them everything that had happened, and what Owens had told me. The adjuster told my claims rep that Owens HAS to call THEM anytime there is something new or wrong with the car and they must call them first before towing it anywhere. Owens told my ins. company that it wasnt accident related but would be willing to cover the tow fee at (most likely to cover their butt after everything that happened and avoid more bad reviews). Insurance decided to cover everything, including the tow fee and the fix of the ignition. A few days later I was told to come pick up my car. I get there only to find out that there is still glass EVERYWHERE from the shattered window. All over the seats, floor, and IN THE AIR DUCTS. I was forced to stay another hour waiting for them to vaccum and clean up all the glass. I got a $25 Portebellos gift card for “all of my troubles” but that doesn’t even begin to cover the time and energy wasted, not to mention the work that I had to skip to go down there and wait. What a joke! If I had read any of the reviews before taking my car here, I would have sent it to somewhere else immediately. STAY AWAY FROM OWENS

This place doesnt even deserve one star! I was rear ended over 6 months ago and brought my brand new vehicle here because it was recommended by the car dealership. These people have given me pure hell trying to get my vehicle repaired. First it started off with me calling them every week to hear "your car will be ready for pickup by next week" to we dont have enough money from the insurance company to repair your vehicle fully and you need to sign to get it budget fixed. Why would I have my vehicle budget fixed when I was not at fault for this accident?! Ive heard nothing but lies after lies, blaming the insurance company for all of this when there was a lack of communication with the insurance company from the start. The insurance company estimated the repairs to be under $3000 and Owens is trying to get nearly $9000 to repair my vehicle and they wont provide proof of prices to them. Im a night nurse, newly married and purchased our first home a month before the accident. This has affected my day to day life tremendously, getting to work, bring my twins to daycare, still paying a car note on a vehicle that I only drove for one month, and then had to pay out of pocket for rental car. Also not to mention that Owens told enterprise my vehicle was ready and the balance on the rental car started being my responsibility after a month of the insurance company paying for it. I went to remove my vehicle from the property after about 4 months after finding out absolutely nothing had been done to my car when my husband went to get our marriage license out of it, and was told then that I had to pay out of pocket almost $2000 for a storage fee that I knew absolutely nothing about that will take away from my childrens summer vacation funds. My car was drivable when I brought it to them so Im not even sure why they didnt give me the option to bring it home until they were ready to repair it! Im finally going to remove my car from there tomorrow, pay their ridiculous storage fee that really is their fault that my car had to sit there for so long, and pay someone else out of my pocket to fix my car because they wont give any money back to the insurance company. Never ever bring your car to this place and warn your family!!!!!

My experience with Owens Collision was horrible. My husband dropped his truck off there for a SMALL job. He was backed into in a parking lot. Numerous times we would call and would be told they would call us back (and never did) or they were waiting on parts or that the adjuster had not come for the supplement. After 60 days in the shop on a job that was 7-10 day the insurance company ended the rental car we were given because Owens would not cooperate. I met the adjuster at the shop and Terry (the manager) was extremely rude to me. He asked multiple times why I had come there, they could settle the dispute wih the insurance company without me, and did I need a ride somewhere. I refused to leave until Terry agreed on an amount for the repairs and then start the job. The next day I asked for documents on what was being done to the vehicle and was lied to over and over again as to why they were not being sent. Terry called my husband and offered us money for being out of a rental car and NEVER gave it to us. Terry also offered to go over all the details of the repairs when the truck was picked up. Terry was rude to me on the telephone accused me of only caring about the vehicle when we were being put out of a rental car and never calling to check on the car before then. Once the repairs were started it took less than a week which shows they wasted 60 days doing nothing. My husband asked to have Terry explain the work, but Terry refused to. 2 days after picking up the vehicle we tool it to get new tires and they shop showed us the truck was not aligned (this was something Owens was supposed to do and charged the insurance company for). These guys are liars and are out to make money at the expense of anyone that come along. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE! There are plenty of other shops in the area that are much better.
